Zike Z600-6491 White Hybrid Bike

The bike I received was faulty and made a bad noise in 6th gear like the chain was going to brake . Even though this seems like an amazing piece of equipment and provides a very good workout; what I am most unhappy about is that the experience has turned bitter due to the seller's return policy which I am pasting below right out of the return email I received:OPEN QUOTE: Instructions from Zike® Refund will be processed after the returned unit is received and inspected. Our return policy is a 15% RESTOCKING FEE WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF MORE, due to wear and tear OR RETURN SHIPPING DAMAGE AT THE DISCRETION OF ZIKE. Zike has 7 days after receiving the return to process this refund.END OF QUOTE REALLY ???!!!! So after paying almost $400.00 I am left at the mercy of whatever they want to return EVEN THOUGH I GOT A FAULTY PRODUCT TO BEGIN WITH. I completely understand the restocking fee; however, leaving the buyer up in the air as to the amount they will get back after receiving product that should have been working properly since it is new, I do not find fair. I am also having to pay for the return shipping. The bike is heavy, so if you are a woman buyer, make sure you have a guy to help out with putting it together and/or taking it to a carrier in case you need to return it. Just find it inconvenient all around.

Bike arrived missing the cover for the handlebar stem & with a totally flat front tire - I had to remove the tire and take it in to have it replaced ($$) but the stem is still an open pipe. It was also very difficult to get the front tire back on after it was inflated; truly a pain in the butt.Although it's fun to ride, it takes some getting used to.I would NOT buy this again since I couldn't ride it or get it adjusted to my size even after paying almost $100 for assembly because of the flat tire - which I was stuck with fixing after it was assembled. This was NOT worth the almost $500 it cost with assembly.

I wanted this for months before we ordered it. I am 5'10" tall and 123 pounds, so wanted to assure it was tall enough. It wasn't. It's precarious to balance on in the bent over position, and very very heavy. To be fair, Zike would have taken it back, but it had to be disassembled to fit in the box. I just keep trying to offer it on Craigslist.

I've had this just over a month now and it is incredibly fun and easy to use. It provides a great workout and a nice change from running. If you have any running injuries this could be a great thing to do while recovering. After shopping all of my options and testing out some of the competition, this is the best and most affordable step bike option out there. Other more expensive step bikes charge extra for aluminum frame, etc. I can do 14 miles a day on this (*split into an AM and PM ride) and LED lights work well on this (even though the book says not to ride at night - lol.) I recommend you test a step bike anywhere you can to be sure you like it.

The bike is made well but it is hard to enjoy when you have the smallest hills. It just doesn't seem to have the right amount of gears on the bike. Even when riding down hill there is not a gear low enough to make any impact on your speed. So it's a problem going up hill and down hill. After purchasing this bike it does appear there is a more expensive model with more gears. Not sure if that remedies the issues with hills.

I thought this might be a substitute for the $400+ Eliptigo version. I never factored in the lack of center of balance. With each step your weight shifts and the handlebars pull to one side or the other. I simply could NOT right without a lot of work. I disassembled (You tube in reverse!!!) and sent it back.

my zike is perfect in every way and exactly what I was looking for. Beautifully well-made, easy to balance, use, break, turn, coast and pedal. my legs feel fantastically exercised and gently stretched after ziking. Plus when I called customer service to ask a few questions the gentleman was sweet, polite and helpful.

I love it. It's a substantial piece of equipment. It's more than I expected. Well worth the buy.
