We have a toddler that is very strong willed. He contests bedtime and other timings. This works well as a visual aid to show him how long 5 minutes is. He likes to see the boat disappearing.

Bought this to help my 3 year old know when it is time to finish playing toys and get ready for the day. It has been brilliant. He really enjoys knowing that when the beep goes off he has to go clean his teeth and get dressed. We're having fun talking about time with him and letting him put the timer on. It does exactly as we want to it to do. It's nice and small so easy to take away and looks cute too.

Have been using this with children I work with and have found it really helpful for their understanding of time management as they are at ages where they are unable to read a clock/telling them 5/10 minutes doesn't make sense as they don't understand how long that is. They're able to visualise with the timer how long they have left on something and have found there have been very few issues, if none, when the timer goes off and they have to finish what they're doing. Several of the children I use this with struggle with loud noises - I find it great that this timer has the option to turn the alarm off/turn the volume down. Even with these options, the children haven't struggled with the timer being on its loudest setting either as it's not that loud anyway. Would highly recommend to anyone who works with/has children especially if they are SEN and/or normal timers/ways of doing time management don't work.

This is quite a nice countdown timer to use with kids. It comes with batteries and instructions which appear to contradict themselves in that they say not to turn the dial counterclockwise but that you have to if you want to set it for less than 3 minutes as you have to go past 3 mins then back. I think it means don’t turn it counterclockwise past the zero. You can set up to 60 minutes on there and you can see how much time is left. You can have the sound on or off and there is a low and a high volume. High is not really that loud. You would be unlikely to hear it from another room. It beeps 6 times then stops so again if you are not nearby you may not realise time is up. If you are wanting to use this to limit time on something eg phone or games console a child could easily turn the dial and add more time. If you keep it with you instead it sort of defeats the purpose of being visual. However in a situation where you are saying do this for 5 minutes then you can stop it would be good (although again could be adjusted) Useful mostly in a teaching situation. Not sure it’s worth the money given you can set a timer on a watch etc.

The LIORQUE 60 Minute Visual Timer for Kids is nice but for the price it is very basic. I was on the hunt for a timer so that I didn't have to hear 'is it my turn for the Wii yet' for the 50th time in half an hour! I wanted something even the youngest children could understand so this looked like it would be a good idea. The timer comes with two AAA batteries which it requires to work. Under the battery cover there's some options for whether you'd like the alarm on/off and if so loud or quiet. Even when on loud though I don't find it loud enough, it just makes a short few high pitched sounds which are easy to miss if you are busy doing something. The boat and sea moving as the time goes down is great for young children to see how much time is remaining but I find this design unlike some of the others feels too busy so it's not as noticeable how long is left when glancing in a hurry. The timer is useful for its purpose but it could be improved and is very expensive for the few functions it has.

Design superbe. Nous nous en servons pour apprendre la notion du temps à notre fils depuis ses 2 ans. Cela a beaucoup diminué ses crises de frustration à tel point qu'il le règle tout seul maintenant et arrive à déterminer 5 ou 10 min à force de nous voir faire. Dès que le minuteur sonne, nous n'avons plus d'énormes crises même si quelques fois il négocie pour quelques minutes de plus :). Grâce à ce minuteur, l'enfant sait combien de temps il reste, il n'est pas pris au dépourvu.

Controlador de tiempos para niños!!! Es el segundo que compramos, y nos hace la vida mas fácil!! El niño aprende a gestionar su tiempo y lo visualiza de forma real, ya que cuando son peques y no saben aun leer un reloj no saben la noción del tiempo y les puede causar estrés, de esta forma le ayudas a marcas tiempo, tienes 15 min de tv ellos ven realmente el tiempo que tienen y que les queda en todo momento, ellos mismo lo pueden poner y salta solo y suena cuando llego el momento. Es cómodo de transportar incluso en vacaciones, usa pilas de las normales, dura bastante la pila, cuando falla suele ir mas rápido o mas lento el cronometro. Muy recomendado en niños TEA , aunque yo lo recomiendo para todos los niños .

I was looking for a way to visually countdown for bedtime for my 6 year old and I am thrilled with this product. The design is adorable and it works great - you just turn the dial to select the amount of time and can see the dark blue portion decrease as the time runs out. At the end, it gives a loud ding to let you know the time is over. This has been a great addition to our bedtime routine and he knows once he hears the ding, it's time for bed. I love that he can glance up to see how much time he has at any minute so it doesn't come as a surprise. We also use for other tasks like homework or cleaning. Very effective in helping littles manage their time!
