I got these to replace the steel shoes on my 2005 Craftsman Two Stage Snow Thrower. The original shoes were mostly worn down and I thought some plastic ones might fit nicely and would be less likely to scratch the driveway. This comes as a complete set with two shoes, 4 carriage bolts, 4 flat washers, and 4 locknuts with nylon bushings. The square inserts in the carriage bolts were an exact fit to the square holes in my snow thrower housing.The only reason I rated this as a 4 rather than a 5 is that I needed to modify one of the shoes slightly to make it fit. The slots that were molded into one of the shoes was too narrow to fit the carriage bolts. I ended up putting it on my work bench and drilling/milling out the slots and now it fits fine. It was odd that only one of these had the issue so maybe there was a problem with one of their molds? Not sure but it was easier to just fix it myself rather than wait for a return/replacement. I hope this helps others if they have the same issue, and maybe they can figure out what went wrong at the plastic shoe factory?
