I bought these out of desperation, as a certain family member routinely hacks down my perennials with his weed eater. This, in spite of stakes, rock barriers, trellises and garden statues marking said perennials as “not a weed.” Now that he has obliterated my clematis for the third year in a row, I decided to employ something that he absolutely can’t miss. I love that these flags are tall enough to stick into the soil and have enough height to still be clearly visible above ground. They are a vinyl material, to withstand weather and are a very bright safety orange. They seem to be very study for their purpose and were a very reasonable price - roughly the same as a can of neon spray paint, which was my other plant-marking option. Family member spotted these immediately, so I know they’re already serving their purpose. He is not happy, but I am! No more, “I didn’t know that was a plant!” Or “I didn’t see it!” Trust me, he can see it now. Five stars!

Cons: designed for temporary use, can bend if pushed into very hard or rocky soil. Overall: a simple product that works well. If you need temporary outdoor marking flags, these are bright, easy to use, and get the job done without any issues.

These are great flags. The flag part is stiff enough to stand out and the wire sturdy enough to stick in firm ground. They came tightly rolled, ten in a roll, and packed in a box. A good buy at a reasonable price.

Simple, easy to write on. Works great. I used some for marking property lines and the others my kids played with.

Up-date: I kerp finding flag plastic all over my property and occasionally the dangerous wire they used to be attached to! This is very upsetting.. Not even a week after I poked them all in next to new plantings, they are mostly ripped from the wind, sharp metal sticks are now flagless all over my property!! A disaster! My dog snd any of our wildlife could step on the metal and be seriously hurt! These are not able to withstand Summer weather in Prince Edward Island. Very unfortunate. I bought two 100-packs (one green,one orange) to cover the 2 acres). Original review: Use a sharpie to write on them if you want. Works really well. I'm marking where my septic bed is located, the propane and generator connections underground etc..with a crew coming to work on site, these flags will ensure no accidents happen since sensitive areas will be clearly marked.
