The material it is made out of would be scratchy to wear by itself. However, it would be fine to wear over clothing (or good for a dog costume). I glued a piece of elastic to it so it would stay on. Its nice that the pieces of 'straw' tie in place- makes it adjustable to almost any size.

The hay parts for the neck, arms, and feet were missing the part where you tie it on. I can fix it myself, but am glad I realized it before we needed the costume.
