Love it for use in my garage!
I'm using this on-demand water heater in a rather weird way, but it works great for my purposes! I occasionally need hot water when working out in my garage shop, but it's so infrequently that installing a traditional water heater would have been a huge waste of money. This solved the problem beautifully. I feed it by running a water hose from my outside spigot, and can now enjoy not having to run back and forth to the house whenever I need hot water. It heats up quite quickly, and meets my needs perfectly. With it being 220V, I hired an electrician to do the electrical hookup for me.

hot water on demand
So we have a small cabin in the woods that we use for hunting camp and the guys wanted to have a tankless hot water heater so that their gravity fed water could be used to take showers. Installation was not easy as others have stated but the guys were able to get it working during their stay. Now they have the convince of hot water for dishes and showering.

Has some issues
Installed 4 days ago and working with a couple of operations of note. The directions for operation are not entirely clear. You will need to read carefully. I have a small home with only 2 people living here normally. Bathroom is approximately 20ft. from the water heater. When I turned on the kitchen sink (6ft. away), the shower and the bathroom sink the heater would not keep up and the water turned cold. The unit is pretty cheaply made. I don't expect my power bills to be any less than the old tank unit and will update here later....

Well made and functional tankless water heater
There's really no reason *not* to have tankless water heaters in your home. Most of the hassles with traditional water heaters are eliminated and all you get is an endless supply of hot water where and when you want it. It also takes up much less space than the old fashioned tank water heater and requires less maintenance. Installation is easy though I've got considerable experience doing the necessary plumbing and electrical work. If you don't, you're well advised to get a professional. Just a first rate tankless water heater. Highly recommended!

Compact size, produces fast hot water, with a helpful digital display, but the install isn’t easy.
This 8KW Electric Tankless Water Heater by Midea, is a wonderful way to avoid the size and delay in hot water associated with your typical water heater. With its high ability, LED digital display and compact size, this is a worthy consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned about it while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – The quality is better than most of the tankless heaters I’ve tried, but definitely not top of the line. I was still impressed and would put it in the upper-middle level of the quality scale for tankless water heaters. It looks, feels, and performs, like it should last me for a long time.II. Installation – It’s harder than most people would think without looking into it, because of the 240V and piping needed. This can vary wildly based on your installation spot and its proximity to the breaker box. Also, can your box handle this much additional power and breakers. If you have to upgrade all of this, it can get pricy, but others will find it pretty easy overall. This one isn’t harder than any other version that’s worth having.III. Performance – It’s worked really good so far and has produced super-fast hot water when asked, that lasts longer then I need. Its really nice not to have to wait for it. The overall appearance as well as the digital display is attractive, while providing useful information, like flow rate, input water temp and output temp. I don’t think it save me energy, but it would still be worth it anyways.Overall, this is a great choice if you’re going to make the plunge into a tankless water heater. It provides wonderful performance and capacity at a reasonable level of cost for what you’re getting. If you never tried it, it’s amazing how nice it can be sometimes to have almost endless hot water at your disposal, near instantly. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

Excellent
Excellent. I live in an extremely cold part of the world in which the water pipes are damaged each year in the winter freeze, so every summer we lose hot water for several weeks while the damage is repaired. I can't abide cold showers and my existing tankless heater is busted, so I finally decided to replace it so I can have warm showers year round.I tried a less powerful heater first, but I found it was unable to heat the water properly (it runs crazy cold from the faucet here), so I decided to upgrade to this 18KW model for a little more power. It was a piece of cake for my handyman to install. I could probably have done it myself but I'm not comfortable mixing electricity and water so I decided to call in a pro. Took about half an hour to remove the old heater and install the new one.The heater is powerful enough to give me comfortably hot water even in the depths of winter, so I'm sure it'll do a great job in the summer months when the ground will be significantly warmer. It's easy to operate and seems very reliable, so I'd happily recommend it.

Consistent heat and compact size
I’m using this in an RV travel trailer. The small ones they give you stock are so inefficient so finally, we decided to upgrade to this. It’s so nice to have longer in the warm water. It seems as though the heat is consistent - not a hot/cold/hot/cold stream like I’ve heard from a few people looking into these. This is super compact as well so it’s easy to incorporate into our travel trailer without much cutting into walls, current fixtures, etc.

Requires Professional install
This unit isn't easy to install, it requires professional to come in and manage the setup. It took them quite a while and they complained about the unit and said they weren't sure if it would last. Its working so far but I haven't noticed a difference other than faster hot water but it doesn't give me a lot over time. I love constant hot water runs into my bath. Its just ok.
