Capresso Clear Glass Carafe

The replacement pot for my Capresso coffee maker (5 cup model) arrived undamaged and well packaged by Amazon. The carafe works as it should, fits my well used coffee maker well, and I was happy to have coffee in the mornings once again.

I'll reiterate what other reviewers have said about using this carafe to replace a broken one on my old Kenmore 5-cup coffee maker, it works like a charm. The incredible added benefit is that it's actually MUCH better than the original one that came with my Kenmore, which had a poorly designed pouring lip that caused water and coffee to frequently flow outside of the spout and stream down the side of the carafe as you tipped it to pour. After using that one for 3 years, it's such a novelty to me that this new one actually works as it's supposed to!

I purchased this when the carafe for my Amazon Basics 5 cup coffee maker broke, and I want to report to anyone else who has this coffee maker that this carafe works. It's way too expensive for what it is--you can replace the entire coffee maker for just a little more--but if like me you don't want to create more plastic waste than necessary, this will serve your purpose.

Unit is not cleanable, therefore really usable when paper filters (5-8 cup unbleached) are used because the supplied "gold" filter drains too slowly and overflows. The paper filters do not overflow and make the unit usable for 5 cups, which the supplied filter does not.

My black and decker coffee pot broke and this was the great replacement for it, although this pot is not made by black and decker it works for me. I just had to remove the top but was able to use the one from my old pot. Worth the buy!

It fits the B & D 5-cup coffeemaker. However you need to keep the lid from the original and put it on the new one. I thought, just by looking at the image, that it might work for my B & D, and took a chance. Glad I did.
