Great piece of cookware.
Really love this cooking pot! It is nice and heavy and so easy to clean. I don’t think there is anything better than cast iron pots and pans for cooking; they are healthier and last a lifetime. Another great feature was the price, amazingly low priced given the quality and size of the pot; food cooks more evenly, and tastes better. 10/10

For this price, this product is excellent - well for our two uses so far!
This pot is naturally heavy and takes some heating up before use, as is recommended in recipes but that is normal for a pot that gives consistent and even heating! The lid is so useful as a skillet. We used it for baking no-knead bread. It tolerates a very good rise! We lined it with parchment. The beauty is that, with a pot like this, you can open the fan oven to look but the thickness and material hold the heat to prevent the collapse that one can get by opening the door mid-way. One thing is that you must wipe it out, wash it up only in hot water only and dry it quickly. Give a thin wipe out with say olive oil, and it is ready to roll next time. We had no problem with the casserole part but the lid had slight rusting appearance where it retained moisture when we left it to dry naturally. Lesson learnt. One is so used to everything being modern, easy clean and dishwasher proof that it takes a small adjustment. We can see it as a useful container for a slow cook stew, by adding some water under a smaller insert casserole and a huge family stew or slow roast. It just seems so well built. Yes, and the lid fits superbly well. In winter, with fuel prices as they are, in a modern house, it is great to have an AGA type, heat retaining item that provides heating as well as cooking without needing the space! We cannot have a chimney because of downdraught on our hill by the sea!

Great for outdoor and indoor cooking.
Solid and durable iron build. I am mostly using it for making sourdough bread and cooking stews. It is a bit heavy but it is very easy to use. It takes some time before it is ready for use as it need to be look after specially on the beginning . I strongly recommend before it is used for the first time use these few simple steps. Take a towel and soak it in the oil [sunflower oil, rapeseed oil] will do perfectly. I do not recommend olive oil because of unwanted scent it can create. So soak a towel in the oil and spread it all over whole pot and lead. Simply every part of it. Preheat the oven on maximum temperature and put the pot and the top into the oven and bake for 30 minutes. take it out and leave it to cool down. repeat once or twice. It will help to create the film on it and help you from getting it rusty after washing and also helps to prevent from sticking the food to the surface. After every wash is recommended to dry it properly with towel. Also is not recommended cooking bigger amount of tomatoes or garlic in this product as the are very sticky for this kind of cookware . I am very happy with this product and can only recommend.

Very good (not perfect) quality cast iron cookware.
I bought this dutch oven to use in my kamado ceramic grill. It is the perfect shape for my particular grill and works very well cooking over direct or indirect heat. Made of cast iron, it should last a lifetime, and it is very versatile. I use it for everything from stews and casseroles, to braising beef, baking bread and cooking breakfast in the lid! To ensure it's non-stick properties it must be properly seasoned once in a while, and although it says it comes pre-seasoned I did it once more before first use just to be on the safe side.If you are only going to cook indoors in an oven or on a hob, you can also consider the enamelled dutch ovens.Thoroughly recommended.

Amazing product!
Wow. Having only just recently been introduced to the benefits of cast iron cookware I was keen to invest a bit more in this product. I have to say it was money well spent. As someone who comes fromA big family and regularly used to cooking for big numbers this didn’t let me down. My 1st dish was a chicken curry, and as the product was pre seasoned I decided to cut down on any additional oil. My concern was the chicken could stick but didn’t have any issue at all.Next use was for my famous Bolognese sauce. Again no need for additional fat to lubricate the dish it worked an absolute treat and heat was conducted evenly throughout. One of my issues with other hardware in the past is sometimes while stirring I can be overly enthusiastic and the pan could move and spill. Due to the sturdy nature of this product that was never an issue. One side note it comes with a scrapper for cleaning but I’ve not had to use it. Very easy to clean.Fantastic product and I’ll be definite going down the cast iron road from now on.

The king of cast iron - you're getting two products here!
AMAZING piece of cookware. Before I get into the cast iron dish, the important thing here is you're actually getting TWO cooking products for the prize of 1 - the lid doubles up as another skillet - its amazing!! I used this first to cook scallops. As for the dutch oven - dont be put off by the size - its lightweight and extremely durable - I havent had a better casserole cooking appliance like this - its deep and enables you to make slow cooked or pan fried dishes easily. This isn't only for professional or confident cooks - this is for everybody. If you enjoy meal prepping, cooking meat + vegetables, saute, or even just making curries or special dishes with a durable and safe cookware, this is for you.I'm planning on using this in the summer on the BBQ, and judging by the other reviews, it looks like this will be a breeze for pulled pork or pre-marinated chicken.I think the fact this comes pre-seasoned is important, saves you faffing around trying to do it yourself. The cleaning instructions are important, make sure you follow them!Seller delivered quickly, items is well packed.I would recommend this for a present, your own kitchen or even in a business (if you have a restaurant). Looking forward to seeing what else they have coming out in this range.
