Very good for dogs who hate having their feet messed with.
Cons: hair clogs the blades easily and it shuts down before cutting much hair, especially on a double-coated dog. Blade needs to be much sharper, teeth could be wider to prevent frequent jamming. I spend just as much time unjamming it as I do using it on the dog.Okay now the pros: this tool is GREAT for dogs that hate having their paws trimmed with regular clippers. The quietness of these clippers make them a bit more inviting to my 85 lbs Briard dog over regular clippers. Even though he still tries to nip at me occasionally, I am slowly but definitely making progress with these small and convenient trimmers. I work his pads with these a little bit each day as needed and he is getting less nervous about the whole thing with each day that goes by. I do not think I could do this with the regular clippers because of the noise and the cord. Despite its weaknesses, this trimmer definitely has its place in your grooming tool set.

Cons are too much of a pain
Too loud compared to my 3 others, consums too much batteries in no time is already working slower and needing batteries to be change. It makes grooming small dogs a hassle since they are usually more sensitive to loud noise. On the other side it does a great job when the batteries are new, is small enough to move all around the dog in uncomfortable areas to reach and maneuvers with bigger Trimmers.Overall if you have a medium or big dog be prepared with a set of new batteries and with a little dog it makes the job easier but only if its not a nervous dog.

keep it clean and oiled!
this fits perfect in my hand and is very easy to use. however, it is still pretty noisy so i would not recommend if you're furry baby scared of loud noises coming at it or is not used to being groomed. i also would not recommend for tight matted fur. instead i would sneak professional help from a groomer! i love that it is battery operated and sharp enough but not too sharp. i use it on my fluffy cat. so far it has lasted me almost 2 years and i clean it after each use and oil it before each use too. just a drop of oil will do.

Five plus stars!!
I cannot believe how good this works! It has a quiet buzz (compared to the other clippers I've used) but my skittish dog just stood there and I didn't even have to hold her ! Personally I think that's because of the gentle vibration - I think it was like a little mini doggy massage. It was small enough to get in between the pads but also putting the attachments on I was able to do a good cleanup of her coat. I did change the battery once but it is a single AA so completely worth it for the fact that I didn't have to drag her to the groomers and pay quadruple the amount of money. She's a mix with Bichon fine hair that knots up and was able to clip all the knots and do a nice clean up. Highly recommend and you cannot beat the price

Not worth even the low price, I changed my mind, it is no longer a great little trimmer, fairly quiet and price is right
This is an edit to my earlier review. I have now had to buy a few of these, my third one, just died when I needed it to work. They tend to just stop working with no warning. I oil the blade after each use, don't drop them, and change the battery when they start to slow down- but this is the third one that I have to now replace again. I will not get another one of these again. they are cheap enough but I have paid thus far enough to buy a decent rechargeable, so I will do that instead, and just make sure that I keep it in my tote. So, unless you plan to only buy one of these before changing to a better clipper, I don't advise getting this one. I am very disappointed in the quality of this Conair product.great little quickie trimmer for touch ups. it is more quiet than the full size and a little easier on my noise sensitive dog when it comes to shaving his ears. Not perfect, but for such low price, the best that I have found for my needs. Oh, and if it grows legs and walks away from my grooming set up I haven't lost too much. I actually have a spare to use in case that happens again.

Love these
When my dog became matted after me being out of the country for a while I used these to fully shave him down. It took 4 batteries and 3 breaks for my dog to do it. (He lays down when he’s anxious) so I highly recommend these to anyone who needs to keep their dog tidy or needs to shave them down. For reference I have a 14 lb cockapoo.

great and easy to use
i bought these to trim away the brown tear stains around my poodles eyes. i also trim the hair growing around her mouth because she is toothless and has to eat canned food which loves to nestle into the fur around her month. i wipe it of course, but in just a matter of days the stuff stinks so bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and dirty stained hair is gone. these really do work. they are easy to use and fit into your hand whether it's a male or female hand. it's quiet as said and she wasn't even startled. it also works great to remove the hair growing on your dog's footpads. i've taken my two dachshunds to petsmart for grooming and they never trimmed that hair and by the time i got these clippers, the footpads were completely covered with this hair and bzzzzzzzzzzz, no more hair. they were not startled by the slight buzz sound either. these were a good price as well and i'm very pleased with this purchase.

Good product but...
Not as good as the older model - where the + end of the battery faces the rear (these have the + end facing the front)I ordered four so I could have 1 in a travel kit and the others sitting in various rooms of the house - so I do not have to go and retrieve the older version. These are the best trimmers I have ever used and the dogs have no fear of them, once they have knots/matts or their paws trimmed once or twice. (I even use the old version to trim my beard ,if I do not feel like doing a full shave - must be the residual "Miami Vice" look of Don Johnson that makes me like a day's growth of beard)HOWEVER......one of the four stopped working after 4 or 5 days. I presume/hope a wire came loose but not worth the effort of trying to return it when the others all work well.

Overheating Garbage!
It was small but perfect size for my rabbit. But battery overheated within 5 minutes & actually exploded inside while i was shaving my bunny, putting him in danger. NOT IMPRESSED and as i read the overheating isnt new with this product please dont buy for the safety of your animals!

great, but doesn't work after the first use
This little thing is great and got into the little crevices I needed it to. Its only seemed to work the first time I used it though. Its been stored in a dry place, a couple weeks after I first used it and changed the battery but it seems to have been a one and done for me, sadly.

Do not buy this product
This product is really poor quality, it does not work properly and I do regret that I bought it and wanted money, I missed the return window or I would have just returned it. Very disappointed.

This little trimmer is very handy and I love the feel of it in my hand
This little trimmer is very handy and I love the feel of it in my hand, but the battery doesn't last long in it. I have tried diff. types of battery and it doesn't seem to hold its charge for long enough before I have to change it again. Other than that, it is good.
