Description The Lumberjack Professional PT1000 portable planer/thicknesser is aimed at the small workshop where space is at a premium, and additionally where value is placed on high levels of portability. Offering a surface planing width of 254mm (10"), coupled with a thicknessing capacity of 254 x 127mm (10" x 5"), the PT1000 can tackle up to 3mm per pass. A block speed of 9000rpm contributes to a quality plane finish. With a table size of 920 x 262mm and a tilting aluminium fence measuring 635 x 124mm, timber can be trued or bevelled with ease. Conversion to the thicknessing mode is straightforward, requiring just the fence assembly to be removed, the blade guard to be re-positioned and the chip collection hood to be placed over the cutting block. Height adjustment is made by a well positioned crank handle. Found the instruction manual for set up difficult to understand. Seemed to be a manual for a different model. The thicknesser stopped working after the first use, still trying to have issue resolved. Overall I would recommend to spend more money and get a better machine.

Well packaged and delivered on time. Not the easiest to initially set up because the illustrations in the manual are not that clear. A couple of enlarged clearer drawings of the important parts for set up would be very beneficial. However, when the penny dropped it all made sense in the end.I have used this a lot with very good results, found it easy to adjust for the settings I needed. Comes complete with pushers and allen keys. The thicknesser is so easy to use, it pulls the wood through, you just collect it at the other end.

instruction manual is has not for this model, setting up this machine is mostly impossible, i can not get a true cut from this machine. setting the blades is impossible. over all i have made a costly mistake in purchasing this machine, definitely do not recomend.
