Merrell Women's Barefoot Pure Glove Trail Running Shoe

First of all, I hate buying shoes...I hate wearing shoes. If I could get away with being bare foot all day, I would but alas the no-shoe memo has already been buzzing around the work place. It's hard to believe with all the stilleto wearing gals in the building, I would be getting compliments from people - albeit probably just the granola eating, tree-hugging sorts. I'm thrilled with the color - very neutral and versatile. I've paired them with khakis, shorts and casual skirts. I've been told they look like ballerina slippers (by a girl) and ninja butt-kickers (by a guy).Some reviews have complained about the velcro but I haven't had a problem with mis-alignment or discomfort because of it. They are extremely comfortable although I don't notice a whole lot of difference between these and regular shoes - my body may know on some level but perhaps because I walk around barefoot so often, I don't have to adjust as much (or perhaps there is no difference and I've been duped...cue the dramatic music).I typically wear a size 9.5 shoe although my feet are closer to 9.25. I went to a store to try these on (they only had bright red and black) before and I was more comfortable in the 9.5 (some have suggested going smaller). They don't fit like a glove but are still pretty secure and I don't feel like I have to worry about my ankles turning as much - a major problem with sneakers higher off the ground - OUCH!!Overall, I'm thrilled with the shoe and am so happy Merrell and Vibram made the non-5-toe version for us folks with "special" feet.

These are barefoot shoes in the Merrell tradition. I bought a pair at a local B&M store that specializes in health footwear. Liked it so much, bought more online and they are exactly as expected.I am not a huge fan of barefoot technology, but needed travel and walking shoes for exrtra-wide feet. They put full insoles in, which improves the amount of support without turning it into a standard shoe. Perfect balance between two worlds if that is what you want.These shoes seem well-made, very comfortable, good for walking on grass without additional insoles, fine for hours of walking with insoles (for me personally), and absolutely awesome for trans-Pacific air travel and cross-country road-tripping.I imagine this width will fit too wide for narrow feet, but they are fine for wider ones.

I really like these shoes they feel great on just feel about a half size too big. I`m used to the merrell pace glove and these feel about a half size bigger. Would eventually like to try the 9 to see if it`s a better fit. They also feel a little wide, but that could just be that they only have a strap holding them together and am used to lace up shoes. They do feel great on and have worn them all day and they still felt fine.

I bought these for walking to work and riding my bike. They are perfect for both. first time I wore them I had no blisters, no chafing, no shoe bites. They are lightweight, comfortable and for me, true to size. They are not fitted in the way one might expect a glove shoe to be but they aren't falling off me either. I have an average foot, on the slender side. I wore them hiking - gentle recreational hiking, not rough terrain- and they were perfect.

These shoes fit as expected and are very comfortable. I wear them when I'm going to be on my feet a lot such as a full day of running errands as I know I won't get tired and have sore feet.I used to totally live in Crocs, but have pretty much deserted their summer styles since I found Merrell footwear. I haven't bought any winter Merrells yet, but I'll probably give them a try.One thing - the color is more of a periwinkle blue than lavender, but that's OK.

These shoes fit me true to size. They are wide enough, and I have very wide feet. They are adorable on, and I've had many compliments. The truth though, is that I'm not really a fan of the barefoot idea. I am a teacher, and am on my feet a lot, so I prefer a thicker, softer insole. But, considering that's what they're made for, I actually enjoy them. I have another pair in black, even though I'd prefer the thicker insole, I couldn't resist the 'cuteness' factor.

I love my Vibram FiveFingers, but they look a little too bizarre to wear to work on a daily basis. I was looking for a barefoot alternative and ran across this shoe. I ordered it, and absolutely love it! I wear it every single day. It's comfortable, provides the minimalist feel I was searching for, and still looks stylish enough to wear to work. I even wore this shoe with my slacks at a conference I recently attended. They are wonderful for traveling, too!

I have never experienced such comfort in a shoe. I have a wide foot and a high arch and finding a shoe that fits is extremely difficult. This shoe is perfect! I loved my first pair so much that I ordered two more in different colors. I can move so much faster and I like the fact that I can feel the ground better, helping to keep my 70-year old balance. I hope Merrell makes more colors so I can order more to match other outfits!

Das Laufgefühl ist super und nichts drückt. Sie sehen auch optisch am Fuß sehr gut aus, etwas eleganter als die sportlichen Barfußschuhe aber mit demselben Laufgefühl. Einfach toll, ich bin rundum zufrieden.

das sind die besten schuhe die ich je hatte!sie sehen nicht nur schön aus sondern sind noch dazu bequem,dass ich sie nachts auch noch gerne anhätte :-)werde mir noch ein Paar kaufen
