... first waffle iron I've ever bought and I'm extremely happy with it
This was the first waffle iron I've ever bought and I'm extremely happy with it. I've read some other reviews complaining about how it doesn't have a timer or other fancy gadget but for me that is only a benefit. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not great with technology but this waffle iron was so simple and easy. And I don't mind setting my own timer---in fact I prefer doing that as I've been greatly disappointed with automated equipment in the past.A few helpful tips:1. Find a good waffle batter recipe. The best waffle iron in the world won't help a bad batter.2. Use cooking spray. I've never had a non-stick pan or gadget that didn't still need cooking spray, so don't be lazy. It takes all of two seconds to do.3. Don't over fill the iron. Other people complained about run over from this model but I found that only happened to me once when I overloaded it the first time. No more than 3/4 of a cup, depending on the thickness of the batter you make.MOST IMPORTANTLY4. Clean up. The majority of the negative reviews I read for this model all had to do with how hard it was to clean. I assume most of them didn't spray first and that's where most of the problem comes from. If you did use cooking spray then all you have to do is wipe it down with a damp washcloth. If you want to really get in the crevices good, then take a couple of Q-tips, dip them in soapy water and run them along between the hard to reach parts. Then take some dry ones and wipe up any excess water and suds. All in all I love this little waffle iron and enjoy using it every weekend.

Makes good waffles
The media could not be loaded. Nice compact waffle maker. Makes 4 nice sized waffles. Easy to wipe clean. Stores upright easily, out of the way. It only takes 3 to 4 minutes to make four waffles, so keep an eye on it. Happy with my purchase, I didn’t see the need to buy a more expensive waffle maker.

A really good, easy to use waffle iron
What I like--it's easy to use, easy to clean, and makes beautiful and delicious waffles. What I don't like: the waffles are done when the cooker stops steaming and the ready light comes on, but there is no alarm so you have to watch it all the time--but it only takes about 5 minutes to cook, so it's not a big problem. The extension cord is very short--only 2 ft long--so in order to plug it into the socket on my kitchen island I have to turn it in a slightly diagonal position in order for the cord to reach the socket on the side of the island. Irritating, but not a big problem. Overall, I really like it and I'm glad I bought it.

Easy to wipe down, not easy to clean. The plates aren't removable.
Had mine for five years (not used frequently until lately,) makes great waffles but today I decided I need to upgrade. There are plenty of positive reviews so I'll just get to the point. I want one that I can flip, but more importantly one with removable plates for EASY cleaning. A lot of reviews say "easy to clean!" when I believe they actually mean to say easy to wipe down. I usually eat my waffles with some eggs or fruits, but we also like to put chocolate chips and such in our waffles every now and then, but some may get caught on the waffle maker.Easy to clean? If you're making plain waffles, then yes, go for it, it's easy to wipe down. If you're like us and plan on making a variety of waffles, get one with removable plates. But again, this review is only concerning cleaning, it makes great waffles.

works fine but strangely short cord
Waffle maker works just fine - I amjust curious why the cord is so short (24”) it reduces the amount of places where we can use it. If we use it on our island the waffle maker has to be right up on the edge of the counter to reach the outlet on the side of the cabinet. The handle is very large and clunky as well so be sure you have the right storage space.

You want this!
Perfect product! My wife and kids got this for me for Christmas this year and I have probably used it 3-5 times a week! Super easy to use; mix up pancake or waffle mix as desired, preheat until light is green; spray with an insanely SMALL amount of cooking spray, pour mix in, set timer for 5 minutes, and PRESTO! You're happy as a lark! Waffles never have stuck even once, even when I didn't use spray after cooking previous batch. Excellent texture, but it did take some finagling with timing, which I'm sure will vary from mix to mix. Slightly thin mix seems preferable, as thicker mix seems to be too "fluffy"(or maybe I just like very crisp waffles).

Compact, affordable and fully functional. Experiment with recipes!
I seldom write reviews. But this one is too satisfactory not to let others know.My first batch of test turned out to be not as good as I feel now. I used "True Belgian waffle" recipe from "Taste of Home" (google for the recipe) which uses 1 cup (yes, 2 sticks) of butter for 2 cups of flour. And this batter, no matter how careful I tried, flew out of the seams of the upper and lower irons. Too much butter! (It tastes very good though)For the second batch, I reduced the butter by 1/4, for the sake of my heart and longevity, and voila! Now it never overflows unless I put more than 7/8 cup of batter. The other thing I paid attention was to align the upper and lower irons to minimize the seam.Less butter reduced the cooking time as well. It took a little less than 4 minutes per waffle. In sum, it's compact, affordable and fully functional waffle iron. I am so happy about my purchase.

Faulty product, no warranty, no support from seller and Amazon
Most important - 1. Don't buy from STS shop.2. The onsite warranty sold with this product is useless. They will refund the payment in a few days and you'll be left with no warranty at all.I bought this product after seeing good reviews on Amazon. To my dismay, the product was I received didn't last over a month or so.The outer plastic cover started turning yellow after a few uses. Then the waffle started getting stuck to the iron. But it was still manageable until the next 2-3 uses, after which the product just broke down. The waffle was getting burnt black in 2-3 minutes and refused to leave the waffle iron. All in all, the iron just became a piece of junk sitting in my kitchen.Contacted the seller, who didn't offer any help. Approached the manufacturer, who said there service scope is the US, Canada and Europe. Then approached Amazon who left me in the balance for 15 days only to say later that "we can't help".

overflow!
I've been making waffles for many years with a lot of different waffle irons. Every other one, I've been able to figure out how much batter to use for complete waffles without overflowing batter. I've used this one three times so far (making 4 - 6 waffles each time) and either the batter isn't enough to fill every section or it overflows but the pockets still aren't full when it has baked (the bottom side will look perfect, but the top will have incomplete areas). I'm using the same recipe I've used for years, so I don't understand what is happening. I've tried letting it bake for a while before closing it very gently so as not to press too hard on the remaining liquid batter, but it still squeezes out liquid batter after a minute or two.

calidad-precio

Terrible
Bought it to replace a 20 year old unit by the same company. Yes 20 years later the quality is not the same. There is some dripping from steam so just cook over a towel. This gets worse and the eventually gets too hot to handles burning yourself when you try to open it. I would not buy again.
