Sony WX920BT 2-DIN CD Receiver with Bluetooth

I waited a week to get the hang of using my new Sony WX920-BT stereo. I installed it in a 2003 Toyota Tundra. I ordered the metra 70-1761 harness that it called for. I kinda freaked out when I unplugged my original stereo and found two 20 pin plugs. The metra harness did not match. As it turns out you have to unplug the Toyota factory amp and use the internal amp in the Sony (55 x 4). I did the harness on my kitchen table (soldering / no cutting) of the factory harness wiring. It was maybe a 15 minute install from there. The Bluetooth works perfect and the controls for the stereo are easy to figure out. It does have a gap on both sides using the original radio brackets. I used 1" foam rubber matting and trimmed it down to expand fit and it looks awesome. Much cleaner sound even using factory speakers. This was a great choice for modernizing the tunes in my truck. I now have Bluetooth, hands free phone (mic is included) and a remote if you're lazy...lol I am old school and have a ton of CDs I use for road trips and did not want to loose that option. I haven't used the usb port for stick use, but it is there for charging my phone.You can't go wrong for 120 bucks. It has 4 volt pre outs, will be easy to add a sub to, and the display is not that bad in the sun as some reviewers have said. I like the color changing options to match your dash lights too. We will see if it is as durable as my Kenwood I had installed in my CRV is, sure hope so.

I've owned several Sony head units & never had a bit of problems. Although this model is simple compared to some newer ones i can say that Sony is the best of the best in my experience.

First things first let me get this out of the way:*Update - Have had the unit in my car for months still, still working as designed. No complaints.This is an awesome unit if it’s the design you’re looking for. Generally, most would go for a touch screen but for me considering the stereo location it wouldn’t have been logical to go that route.The center knob is definitely the pivot point of control. You use it more then anything and it’s size makes it comfortable and easy to use. I don’t particularly love the way it looks in the daylight with all of the high gloss buttons. On the contrary, this thing is so beautiful at night. The light design is stunning and the rgb color selections are infinite.The menu system is simple and straight forward. Very easy to navigate and intuitive with one exception, pairing Bluetooth has proven to be difficult and I am tech savvy. Best of luck to you!The only other gripe is the light sync function doesn’t really work that well in my opinion. Not a deal breaker because I don’t generally want lights strobing in my face but it’s worth mentioning.All of the other features work perfectly and I’m satisfied with my purchase.

This product was good, however the Bluetooth streaming rate doesn’t doom to be very good. When I play my 320 kilobit files over Bluetooth it can’t keep up and skips like a scratched cd. However the easy fix I came up for this is to just use the usb. Not only does it charge your phone, but it allows flawless playback as well.

Everything works great except for the Bluetooth will abort 25 times before a successful connection. The Sony will not commit BT on Android or iPhone. I'm ripping it out of my car as it takes ten minutes to connect phone. I have a $30 BT on my truck, connect's everytime. Sony BT=🗑️

Purchased this to replace the radio in my Honda CR-V. The tuner has excellent reception sensitivity...was able to get many more stations than the stock radio. Very good sound quality and a great value for the price. It also allows you to pair 2 different Bluetooth phones which is a rare feature. Very happy with this purchase.

Sound quality is great and Bluetooth (what I bought it for) is great! I actually had to adjust the bass down it hit so hard! Love this unit! I clipped the microphone to my wiper control so it is close to me and this is the first hands free device my wife can hear me clearly on. Money WELL spent!

i f I'd known US FM frequencies are different to those in New Zealand I would not have purchased this item. Having said that it is good value, solidly built and easy to use.
