easy to understand
This book explains the newest research into how the brain and pain are tied together. It is explained in basic terms using everyday terms and examples to make the layperson understand the science of the bodies reaction to pain. I was able to read it in one sitting and not feel overwhelmed by the data. I used it in conjunction with my physical therapist treatment. You don't need any medical training to understand this book.

Basic Info for beginners but super expensive for 53 pages of basic info.
This book is actually a good beginners guide to dealing with chronic pain. The only 3 star rating is because its a 53 paged extended pamphlet with illustrations. This is really expensive for the audience you are wanting to reach with this book. Don't get me wrong, it was a fast read, easy to digest and gives someone a great start on how to manage to change their relationship with chronic pain. But most people who suffer with chronic pain also have a hard time working, so 18$+ for really expensive and taking advantage of the people who really need this information. This book should be valued at 5$ tops. If you really wanted to help people manage their chronic pain, you'd give them a break on the price vs trying to make a profit. Especially with as basic as the information offered was.

Chronic Pain People This is a Great Short Read Book
I have been living with chronic pain for 25 years. As I am getting older I am now also experiencing age related pain. My Physical Therapist recommended this book. It is an easy ready and good fit for me. It provides a clear and in my opinion better way of looking at my pain. For those of you suffering with chronic pain, you have probably tried many things. So have I. I leave no rock unturned when it come to learning ANY possible way to live with pain and hopefully ease it. I recommend this book. Especially if you are familiar with the corporate world or any genre of work where many people are involved.

In chronic pain? Must read this!
This book is brilliant. It's just 50 pgs in spiro-bound form but it has been the mist helpful book I've read on how pain works, especially chronic pain. The metaphors are vivid and helpful, and just reading this book has helped me to calm down my pain response. Thank you, Adriaan Louw!

Overpriced book and postage
The content of the book is excellent but the seller should make it clear that this is a 52 page A5 booklet with large print. (so pricey). I also can't see that £10 postage is justified
