The sheets are a bit floppy, and certainly don't work by "laying them on the page". You have to hold them at a distance from the print you are reading. As they are slightly floppy if they wobble a bit there is some bit of distortion. It also ties up one hand while reading a paperback book, and you can't hold it properly, keep it constantly at the right distance from the page, and read at the same time with the book wanting to spring back to being semi-shut while you're trying to do all that ! There are contraptions one can wear round the neck which hold a magnifying glass but that looked way too clunky for me so I chose these sheets instead, believing what it said on the item title, which is not true. The magnification is...OK ish but not brilliant also. I should have stuck with my ordinary round magnifying glass I've had for about 30 years. I was really trying to find a page sized magnifier which I could clip on to a book, and which didn't have to be a distance from the page. Maybe there is no such thing?
