It is the type of self defense item to have just not sturdy and its hard to extent. But will work to get someone off of you.

Two part review.Closed: feels solid. Has nice weight. Could use as weapon if it doesn’t extend. Hmmm. Nice.Expanded: wow! Feels much jankier. Thinner. cheaper. Maybe able to get one swing off. Wish I could keep it closed. May be worth the price but I’d just save for a decent one you can trust… 1.6/10 would NOT recommend.

Not solid or like a metal truncheon. The longer you extend it the flimsier it is. Best to keep it at 12"" or less in order for layers to form a more solid surface. The ball at the tip seems solid enough. I'm actually going to use it for class to use it as a pointer.

Having recently moved to Raleigh NC we were delighted to find that out that our Town House is located next to the Greenway trail that encircles Raleigh ! No traffic other than where the trail crosses a street ! Problem is that the trail is paved with asphalt and the snakes (including Copperheads) like to crawl out of the woods to bask in the sun ! I bought this telescoping stick to carry unobtrusively so that I can (from a safe distance) deal with the occasional snake encounter by simply encouraging the snake to move along so that we can pass ! In four years I have only seen a couple of snakes (one dead) but better safe than sorry.

I bought this with the intention of using it for self defense. It's really too lightweight and bendable to strike an attacker. It's only really useful to swing around to keep others at bay. Not quite what I had in mind.

Very flimsy and cheap. Not worth the money. I didn't return because it wasn't worth the time to stop at a return center.
