Fox Run Small Marble Mortar and Pestle Set, White, 3.5"

I wanted a small mortar and pestle that was easy to use and stable when using. This one meet all my requirements. Although difficult to make into powder it did an excellent job grinding whole clovers. An added bonus is that is attractive.

The mortor works well to mash up nuts and confections. It is sturdy and size is small enough for a handful of nuts. The mortor works well no chipping or damage very durable.

It took 6 half hour sessions to smooth out the ridges. There are still some but they are not rough enough to be concerned now. The remaining ridges help to grind whatever you put in it. I'm using this to make creamed honey starter. It served my purpose for this very well.

This is the perfect size for my hands. Very easy to hold and use, always be gentle when grinding and never tap the pestle as that can break regardless of product. While the green is not as vivid as the photo, it is still beautiful. I use a hard bristle paint brush to clean this as well. Highly recommend!

First of all, it wasn't broken! I could feel it rolling around in the product box and I just thought, "oh, that's the problem." Looks like somebody doesn't read their own reviews about their product. Or they just like re-shipping for damaged items. Well, I got lucky.As for the product, it is better than I ever expected it to be. I was done with all the pill pulverizers that claimed they could grind something into a fine powder. I'm not dextrous enough to use a standard mortar and pestle so this was like a dream come true. It crushed my pills into powder in minutes, and these are some crunchy pills to crush. It left a few small, miniscule chinks upon close examination. The next day I experimented with it and stumbled upon a method that produced clean, consistent, powder. It was so fine you could rub the debris on a baby's behind like baby powder.Because I bought this, I am going to get maybe 4 hours of my life back per week, not having to resort to my self crush and grind technique.It works great, it's a functional decoration, and it gets the job done quickly and easily. The rough interior and pestle surface leave some debris to clear off, but it takes about a minute to clear them off. That's the thing about real powder, it does that quite often. I just can't praise this product enough.Original : 7/26/2012Edit: 8/20/2012The more you learn about this thing, the better you get your rhythm and positioning down, the better it gets. Now that I've gotten this thing broken in I'm pulverizing 4 rock hard pills at a time in less than five minutes. The powder is actually getting finer and finer. The presence of chunks is almost null. The process is so relaxing too. You don't have to put your wrist into it, just find your technique and sit back. Every pill crusher should have one. It's also a great decoration.

Seems small, but it's sturdy, good craftsmanship, weighs in at about (I'm guessing) 3-5 lbs, the marble is a very nice colour. I'll update my review after testing it, but as it stands, i recommend it. I'll be sending the link to the item to people on fb. As promised, i shall now edit my review. I still recommend it. Fantastic piece of kit. I've ground sea salt, peppercorns, chili peppers, garlic cloves, and sticks of cinnamon. I don't recommend grinding cinnamon in there, it's been a few months, and i still smell cinnamon. Albeit faintly. If you're looking for a mortar and pestle, you can do a LOT worse than this little beauty. It now has a home on my kitchen counter. I grind salt and pepper every time i have eggs.

El producto me llegó en buenas condiciones, no estaba roto y estaba resistente. Llevo casi dos meses con el producto y la verdad estoy muy satisfecho, compre el pequeño y creo que es muy útil para moler diversas especias, a pesar de que está pequeño es algo pesado pero muy resistente, excelente producto

Il prodotto non era idoneo, era piccolissimo, mi serviva un mortaio x il pesto e questo era grande quando una tazzina da caffè, per cui ho provato a restituirlo, ma la politica di reso del venditore prevedeva che avrei dovuto spedirlo a mie spese in California e quando avrebbe ricevuto il prodotto avrebbe effettuato il rimborso. Questa procedura richiedeva tempo per andare a spedire il pacco, dovevo farlo solo con UPS ma nella mia zona non c'è questo corriere, e ci avrei rimesso pure le spese x la restituzione restando alla fine pure senza il prodotto. Davvero una politica dei terzi venditori deludente, che non viene per niente incontro ai clienti. Amazon è stata chiara e disponibile nel dare spiegazioni ma questo venditore con me ha chiuso e spero che questa recensione possa essere di aiuto a tanti. Ho messo una stella perché il sistema altrimenti con zero stelle non mi passava la recensione!
