Dinosaur Detectives - Dr. Alan Grant: Jurassic Park

I really liked the way this was put together. However, I wish the intro had been written by another Paleontologist and not Richard Attenborough. That sort of ruined the feel of the opening to the book. That, and the fact that they break the feel of the universe by saying that Sam Neill was Grant in the films. It would have been better if there had been a short bio instead. That being said, it's a really nice book you can use a journal. I hope Ian Malcolm's book will be rereleased again soon. It would be a beautiful companion piece.

I got this for my birthday back in July and LOVE this book. This is the book that in the movie Tim is asking questions about. Written by the main character Alan Grant. Grant is my fave character so I was very pleased to find out this has been made. "I read your book." is a quote I quote often. So this is made of nice quality paper. I do keep it in a comic book bag to protect it. Too bad the back pic of Grant is a bit blurry. I was surprised there was something in it like a table of contents, forward by Richard Attenborough and introduction. Richard Attenborough played John Hammond so that's pretty cool. The rest of the book is a blank journal. I love journals but I will never write in this. There is also a thank you page that's very short to Ellie Sattler. Top notch I'm very impressed with this.

I really hoped there would be more to it than just a foreword and chapter index otherwise it is just a notebook. I also was thinking it would be larger as I seem to recall it in the movie, and a more quality paperback cover. However, I will keep it for a prop replica collection.

Is this a nice book replica, Yes, is there obvious work put into it? Yes. Does the Seller have the permission to sell the book commercially? I dont think so. I was messaged by the Graphic designer/ creator of these book covers(also the God creates dinosaurs cover) when i posted pics of the books on instagram. Apparently the amazon seller bought non commercial rights to the book covers on etsy and the few pages of writing inside and printed them for commercial use. I believe thats a breach in the purchasing contract between the amazon seller and the artist. Don't support stolen art!

This is perfect, huge fan of Jurassic Park and this is an amazing reproduction. Love the finer detail of the chapter tiles. I wont be using this as a journal it will be going straight on the book shelf!
