Genuine Thermos Brand Stainless King Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Tumbler 16oz Pair (Cranberry and Midnight Blue)

I just bought these 2 cups to replace the last thermos cup that I had. It still works fine but its just beat up from 6 years of abuse of being dropped. These cups will keep stuff hot for most of a work day. As for keeping stuff cold, I've had ice cubes still rattling around in it more than a full day later. As for durability, the only reason i bought 2 cups is because they came in a 2 pack. I would be confident that just one would last me anothr 5 years or so while using it at work 5 to 6 days per week. I would go as far as dollar for dollar, if you are a Yeti user in the same size cup, you wasted your money.

Unfortunately, I tend to drop this tumbler from time to time and I think that's why it doesn't keep my coffee as hot as it used to. When it was new, it kept coffee hot for several hours. Best heat retention in a coffee cup I've ever had. I would take it filled up and go to work at my office (left home at 6:45 a.m.) and the coffee was still very warm at 2:00 p.m.

While a few speak of leaks and problems cleaning these, me being one who owned the previous version of this stainless steel thermos for many years, I found this to be an excellent incarnation. The previous version had a sliding closure which did not make for a good spill-proof seal. You had to be careful to ensure it was upright, or you would find coffee (or other favored potable) flowing where ever it was tilted. This new mug IS actually leakproof. Some helpful tidbits include simply observing the lid is properly reassembled after cleaning, AND more importantly, ensure the lid is turned to the "CLOSE" position when you have finished drinking from it will solve most self-imposed problems with leaking.I also suggest picking up a bottle cleaning brush kit so as to effectively clean the lid. If you use creamers it also helps to clean it even more frequently. Creamers and other additives, in addition to whatever it is you drink, has a way of solidifying and becoming rather nasty when left to collect in hidden places. The design of the lid allows you to quickly disassemble it for inspection, before you fill it. It simply makes since. However, not all parts of the lid is so easily accessible. With this said, the only negative I've found is with the seals in the lid, and how the part which turns to close it has a way of disabling a really good clean. The center part of the lid is the turning point whereby you open and close for drinking. There is no instructions on how to COMPLETELY disassemble, and it is here some of your beverage collects where you cannot readily access it for cleaning. There are videos which go into detail as to how to completely disassemble the lid for a thorough cleaning, removing any and all sludge which accumulates here, particularly at the center pivot point I advise all who love this mug to seek that video.With this caveat aside, this IS a great thermos! My coffee was still hot 4 hours later!

So first things first… I did not receive the mug colors shown in the product photo, as I expected. But I did get the red one, but I also got a grey - not navy blue - as I wanted. As this did not affect the performance, I chose not to return it.With that out of the way, the performance of these mugs are great. I have been searching for a travel mug that can drink from any place on the lip. These mugs have two openings so you can almost drink from any angle.The mug does provide a good seal as long as you make sure you screw it on properly. I can open and close the mug with my index finger while holding the mug with the same hand which Is great.For my fellow Keurig users, yes - this mug fits nicely in the machine with the riser removed.This mug also fits well in the standard cup holders in my Honda Accord… something I could say about my old Thermos mug.With hot liquids, the mug stays hot for most of the work day. I’d say if you made coffee in the morning, it will still be drinkable in the late afternoon.With cold liquids, especially if it has ice, will be cold for a lot longer. I use one mug for ice water at night and when I wake up their is still ice in the mug. I used it while I was mowing the lawn… and while the outside of the mug was hot to the touch for being in the sun for hours, the water was ice cold.As far as durability, I think I’ve only dropped one once - but it was inside and so there was no damage. We’ll have to see what happens when it’s dropped outside getting out of the car, because that day is inevitably coming.All in all, I’m very pleased with them and would recommend.

The cups are used for coffee and cold beverages . I bought a pair of similar mugs years ago . The one my wife uses is still great but I broke mine . The handle fell off and cup lost it's vacum seal . I do not blame the manufactuer as the cup lasted many years and I was not gentle with it . The new ones have no handles so the cups should last longer . If there are any better cups than these I would like to know.

Great price and keeps coffee warm all day. The top of the thermos mug has too many components and a little difficult to put back together correctly.

I originally bought this product for commuting to my university job and it worked well for a six-hour commute (one way). In the course of normal breakage, a number of ceramic mugs met their match but they neither held heat nor cold well. This insulated mug works well and fits into most automobile cupholders (mine included!). Its having the university colors of my significant other and myself is a bonus! Highly recommended.
