I really like this speaker because it combines several features in one unit. The sound is clear and has a nice amount of volume, and I love having the option to play CDs, listen to FM radio, or connect through Bluetooth. This is very nice. It resembles the bose system but at about 1/10 of the price. Great sound and volume. I purchased this to play CD tracks that I play along with on trumpet. It has plenty of volume to do that. Why the BUT and only 4 stars? There are no external controls!! You are at the mercy of the remote control. As soon as the dog eats the remote or you lose it you are up the creek without a paddle. While they are easily available I purchased an additional remote for whenever that day comes. Highly recommend based on performance...but there is the remote issue!

I’m starting to really like the AIWA brand - every time I get something from them, it’s solid. This was a nice addition to the sun room - stylish, doesn’t stand out like a traditional BT speaker, and gives you the ability to play your old collection of CDs. Sound quality is very good for this price, but can get a little treble-heavy in the higher volumes. However, it’s perfect for regular volume play.

Sounds pretty good actually-this is coming from a serious Bose fan! 😍It's very chic looking, easy to set up, Bluetooth and radio works just fine. Many complain about not having buttons to touch but if you have the Bose Wave Systems, you already know that. Like the Bose, if you place the system like 2-3 feet from the floor and about the same from a corner wall, you will achieve a better, richer sound. Doing this will fill the room with sound. I gave it a 3 because the CD player didn't play...AT ALL. I even used a factory CD and it registered as no CD! 😳 After trying several CDs, I decided to return it the next day.😞 I wanted to use it in my classroom. I'm surprised because this brand was extremely popular in the 70s-90s. AI said it may be due to defective motor either from the factory or during shipping. It mentioned other possibilities as well. It was packed very good. It came in its own box AND the Amazon box AND the white Amazon plastic shipping material. Cross your fingers with me...I will send for a replacement today. I'll update the review when the other arrives. 😁

I’ve been really happy with this speaker. It gets pretty loud and still sounds clear when turned up. I’ve played quite a few of my old CDs on it already, and they load and play without any skipping or issues so far. Bluetooth connects easily too, and it’s nice having the radio as another option.

LOVE this product so much. I received this as a gift and oh my gosh it is so loud and good quality. Very easy to use and it looks great anywhere. It is wired and the cord is pretty long.

This is a nice looking unit, but the sound quality is mediocre and it has limited use. I don't think it is worth the full price but a good deal on Prime days. The sound is very slightly distorted and it does have a slight buzz on some bass heavy music. It can play very loud without any additional distortion. I think it is slightly better than an Echo Show but can play louder. It is better than most clock radios. This is like a table top or nightstand player. The problem is that while it has a clock, it doesn't have an alarm. So, it is basically useless as a nightstand player. You have to set the time on the clock, but it remembered the time even when I had the unit unplugged for several days. If you connect it through Bluetooth to your phone, you might be able to play the phone alarm through this unit. It plays CDs, I like how quick the door is to slide open and closed. But, it does take a while to recognize the CD and allow you to play it. It has no memory of the CD, so it if you stop it or switch between sources, the CD player starts at the beginning again. Bluetooth connection was very quick and reliable but it is only a receiver for playing your phone on the unit. It does not have a transmitter so that you could listen to the CD through Bluetooth headphones. It does have a miniplug out so you can listen through wired headphones. It also has an optical input for connecting to a TV or other digital source and miniplug input for connecting almost any analog system....you just need the right conversion cable. It has an FM radio but no AM. It is mediocre at pulling in stations. It will do a scan of radio stations and set the memory for 20 stations. I don't how it chooses if there more than 20 clear stations. It isn't HD, so you don't get substations.

Hi all, please note, my reason for this review, is due to the very obvious in the "PLUG" into a wall socket system provided for this Radio. Since I am in Australia the supplied plug does not fit our wall power points. Using an adaptor to fit this system, failed dramatically, due to weight of transformer supplied. The transformer kept falling lose off the wall socket. Hence the item had to be returned. Other reasons for return were, if living in a "Rural Area" forget it, it plain & simple does not pick FM stations as mentioned it would. Also note, Amazon has been very helpful in the return process-so far.

The remote is not intuitive and has some difficulty in presetting radio channels

Need a UK plug. Sound just ok.
