Best Face Cover for Q3.... Unless...
You have a Halo head band. Default for Quest 3 is terrible. Besides the amazing headset itself, the face cover, head-band and batteries for Quest 3 are just not great... let us be honest they are not even good. So it is likely you will want to replace these weak parts with improvements. For Face covers there is very little wrong with this set, it is amoung the best. There are two types of covers, nand ose guard which is a tad annoying but the black out is awesome and the feel is great. Makes the standard headband much more tolerable. A bit of light bleeds from top but a thin black electric tape 100% fixes this if want, the reason this light is there is due to air vents, so great if can ignore the tiny tiny light showing. So where is the "unless" come into play if the Xover is so great? This is because the Forehead portion is much bigger than default Q3 Face cover. I tfeels so much more padded due to this increased size, and it is a most for this face cover but it is because it is bigger that it does not fit some halo style headbands. I did not know this size difference, so I feel I should warn others, make sure you check you current head band can support this face cover. The Face cover is made for Q3, but does not take Halo Head Bands into consideration. Now I have to decide the best Face Gaurd or the best Head band....

Pricey, but has some nice plus points.
It's nice but overpriced. I got a £5 off at checkout but even that doesn't ease the pricing much. It has to be said though that there aren't many (if at all) replacement interfaces that have ventilation slots and adjustments for setting up distance from lenses. I have the bobovr m3 pro strap and this interface does work with it. A bit fiddly but it does work ok. One thing though that must be mentioned. The interface does not have side clips to lock it in place. It won't just fall out though. You just have to press inwards on either side now and then. I'm 50/50 on this. I found those release clips bloody awkward but in a way I wish this interface had something similar to make it feel more secure. On the plus side it is more comfortable than the original interface. I can play for longer and using the ice silk cushion pad is less itchy than the other pu leather. I have allergies, so a little sensitive to some things. I have it on the lower setting and it does make for a better wider viewing. The nose guard is a pain to fit. Mine fell off before I even installed the interface. I had to take a few pics on my phone to remind me incase it happened again. This is my last accessory for my Q3. It's pricey yes (lost a ⭐ for that), but there are some nice things with this....Height adjustable, vented to reduce fogging and more comfy too. So I'll let the cost slip. Just be aware of the lack of side clips to secure it. Although I'm sure there's folk out there were this doesn't bother them. Recommended 👍

Can't fail to be impressed with this if you find the default facial interface hurts your face/head.
Default plate from new and for the first week of use was murdering my face. My wife didn't mind it, but to me, it was without doubt the most uncomfortable thing I've ever strapped to myself. Actual headache on my forehead after as little as 20 minutes. My 15-year-old daughter couldn't wear it for more than 15 minutes. In a nutshell, this fixes everything. It's how the device should have been out of the box. No light bleed. The nose pad is good. Reduced heat in the headset from the vents, which also let next to no light in. this thing caresses my face. I felt it was expensive when buying. Now i have it, I am happy I bought it. The way the foam can be swapped to cloth if you're watching a film or something is great. It's Velcro, so really easy. Not many reviewers made this clear. Don't set it on it's lowest setting as it will make you so close some people's noses touch. The middle depth setting is perfect and accommodated my glasses. I combined this with the AMVR quest strap and again. THIS is how it should have come from Meta. 100% more usable to more people. It's comfortable as hell combined with the facial interface and very light but secure. If like me, you have been looking at reviews for days, deciding which head strap will solve your comfort issues. Buy this faceplate and the AMVR headstrap. And never ever have to think about it ever again :)

Very comfortable, big improvement over stock
I've been waiting for a third party facial interface replacement since getting my Q3 as the stock one just isn't comfortable, causing me pain on my cheek and brow bones over long play sessions. With this the pain is completely gone and I can stay comfortable in VR for 3-4 hours+. For context I'm using a Vive DAS on my Q3 and spent many hours using this on my Q2 with a VR Cover facial interface. I have only used the PU leather insert as this is my preference, and have found this very comfortable. I have always had a little fogging when first using the headset, this is still present but definitely lessened due to the vents in the top. The silk cover feels very soft and would no doubt be very comfortable to use. As with my former interface I still get some marks on my face after use due to the PU leather bunching up but I don't notice this at all when playing, and the severity of the marking depends on how tight I have the strap. The nose light blocker I find blocks 99% of light, far and away better than the stock interface. It was a little fiddly at first to change the eye spacer but easy once you know how. I have mine in the second hole, as with the stock interface, as otherwise my eyelashes can sometimes touch the lenses which can get annoying. Installation was easy, this feels sturdier than the stock interface, which I always worry about breaking when removing. It was easier to install on the second spacing notch, when trying the first it took a little more pressure to click in than expected but locked in fine. All in all I'm very happy with the purchase and will keep AMVR products in mind in the future.

Decent, but could do with improvements......refunded in the end
A difficult review to write.... Please see my enclosed photos. A three start review does not mean the product is not good. In this case it is adequate, but there is room for improvements. Opening the box, I was a little surprised at how fragile this face cover felt compared to the std one that comes with the Quest 3. But, the std one does not adjust as this one does to allow for a greater distance between your face and the lenses. And that aspect of the face pad has problems that I'll come back to later. The removal of the original face pad is easy enough, slight pressure to squeeze it as you gently pull to remove the clips from the base unit and it pops off. We decided to use the PU leather type covering, having later trying the fabric one with less success. The leather type covering seems to mould better to the face, my wife having a small head and mine being much larger. That means zero light leakage at the expense of it getting a little sweaty with prolonged use. It is easy to wipe, tho. The fabric one feels more comfortable, but it does not seal as effectively, it could do with being thicker. Also, we found we would be less likely to feel hot or sweat with the fabric design, it just leaked light tho. I do like that it is velcro that is used to fit the different material based pads, perhaps there could be others that would fit..? The nose piece, something the std face pad does not have, is "OK". Fitting it as described is easy enough, but when wearing you can still detect a slight amount of leakage around its sides. A small piece of black insulation tape each side resolved this. I'm not sure how this could be improved, we all have differing sizes of faces. But it can be resolved. Fitting of the face pad to the Quest 3 has to be done with extreme care. When the face pad arrives, it is set to "medium", as in the depth between the pad and the lenses. By doing that any pressure that you apply to press the face pad into the locking latches, there are four, will but a lot of pressure on these rather slim and weak latches on the face pad - see photos of the damaged one from our first face pad. We took extreme care when fitting, but they can so easily be damaged, this really needs to be addressed as it is a feature where users can change the setting of these, for those who wear glasses and those who do not. It is flimsy at best. Even tho I have been somewhat critical of the design and how it is implemented, we were still happy enough to order a replacement. That fitted perfectly fine, same amount of light pressure, and all was well. However, I would not wish to need to continue to change the setting of those latches. The minimal light bleed around the nose area is easy to reduce and impossible to do so with the std face pad. I have included a photo showing this face pad fitted with the KKCOBVR Q3 PRO Battery Head Strap, as that is a popular model to use. It fits with zero issues and combines wonderfully with that strap. Even with caution and understanding of its limitations I do not recommend this face pad, extended use has shown it provides less facial pressure and less associated pain and discomfort, but the head strap plays a part there. But the fragility of making adjustments for the depth control, and difficulty doing it, is not encouraging. In the end we refunded the replacement unit. I hope this review helps you.

Vastly superior to the original.
A great replacement for the standard face pad. Very luxurious and comfortable feel. Very easy to replace and swap between the 2 pads that come with the kit. The nose guard is much better than the original, it keeps light out while not causing the screen to fog. A must have if you share use of the Quest headset, simply remove the pad away from the Velcro strip and fit the the alternative as it comes with 2. The soft leather type is my favourite although the silk feel type may be better under hot conditions, I am yet to test that. It is easy to refit the original, so the kids can use that one, if I let them have a go ;-)

Much better than stock interface
This device is dead easy to fit in place of the stock face plate, the default pad fitted on delivery is the "pleather" one which is super comfortable compared to stock for sure. Some people don't like the stock interface having a gap down by your nose, me personally I like it to orientate myself sometimes just to be 100% sure. This device has a removable nose piece to suit those who prefer the view, or want it fitted to block out as much light as possible. This works pretty well to be fair with the absolute minutest gap visible at the bottom of the headset. Now onto using it with LM Body Combat... very comfy and enjoyed the session compared the head clamp stock plate. However the "pleather" pad was the wrong choice, I should have switched to the material one as the sweat was dripping because of it. It's easy to wipe down after of course, not sure I'd be sweating that much with the stock one as it is a bit more breathable. Is this worth £35, well I am not sure. It is effectively a bit of plastic and a couple of pads. However its better than the stock one, theres no doubting that! I use prescription lenses and had to set the facial template to its maximum to avoid fogging. Pros: Comfortable Easy to fit Choice of pads Cons: Expensive (in my opinion) Pleather pad makes you sweat Air vents allow a little bit of light in (especially if you have it set to maximum distance, for example if you have lenses fitted or wearing glasses).

This is the worst product I’ve ever used!
This is the worst product I’ve ever used! It does make wearing the VR headset more comfortable, but the cost is huge. I’m not sure if it’s because of my long eyelashes or the facial support design, but after replacing the face cover with this one, just one hour of use left two visible white scratches on the inside screens of the VR headset. The marks seriously affect the viewing experience and cannot be removed. Moreover, the thickness of this face cover cannot be adjusted, so once this issue happens, there’s no way to prevent it. My Quest 3 was only two days old, and now the lens clarity has dropped drastically because of this — it’s incredibly, incredibly frustrating!

Huge comfort upgrade for Meta Quest 3
My son received a Meta Quest 3 for Christmas and used his birthday money to buy this face cover almost immediately. He had a very similar AMVR facial interface on his Meta Quest 2 and loved it, so this was one of the first upgrades he wanted—and it did not disappoint. Installation & fit: Installation was quick and easy. It snapped right into place with no issues and fits the Quest 3 perfectly. Everything lined up well, and it feels solid and secure once installed. Comfort: The comfort difference compared to the stock face pad is noticeable right away. The padding is much softer and more comfortable, especially for longer play sessions. It sits nicely on the face without feeling too tight or putting pressure on sensitive areas. Light blocking: One of the biggest improvements is how well this blocks outside light. The original face cover lets in a fair amount of light around the nose and sides, but this one seals much better, which makes the VR experience far more immersive. Ventilation & cleanliness: It also does a good job managing heat and sweat. The material is easy to wipe clean, which is a big plus, especially after active games. It feels more hygienic than the stock pad and is clearly designed with longer sessions in mind. Overall impression: This is a fantastic upgrade and well worth the money. If you’ve owned a Quest 2 and used an upgraded facial interface before, you’ll immediately appreciate the difference here. My son absolutely loves it and says it makes his Quest 3 more comfortable and immersive than ever.

Probably the most necessary upgrade you wanna get
Not sure who the original face gasket that comes with the Q3 is for, but it ain’t me. This did the trick, very comfortable, highly recommended.

Very comfortable, solves fogging during exercise
This Quest 3 faceplate is more comfortable than the default faceplate and works better for exercise than the silicon cover. The Quest 3 is better at defogging than the Quest 2, but still fogs up over an hour of intense exercise play. This faceplate solves the fog problem completely. The nose cover also blocks more light from below. If you are frustrated with the stock faceplate for exercising, buy this one. I have been using the leather trim piece for exercise.
