Kelty Riot 15 Backpack, Woodbine

Let me start by stating I love this bag, I just wish it was made for a wider range of users. I'm 5'9, 240lbs, I get it, I'm fat, and fat people hike too. The chest strap, which is adjustable, and I give it a 10 for that, even when it's slid all the way down on the shoulder strap still sits almost at my throat which is annoying. The main reason I bought this specific bag was because of the easy access to the hydration pack through the back, making it easy to refill or switch hydration packs. I did a 15 mile hike with it with a 3L hydration pack, first aid kit, rain jacket, gaiters, food, extra socks, battery pack, cellphone wallet etc etc, and everything fit perfectly. It's not water resistant AT ALL, and it doesn't bring a rain cover, which you'd expect at this pricepoint. Shoulder straps are super light and airy, and dont cut into your shoulders, however on a big person as myself, it tends to crease up instead of staying flat, which you can minimize by using the chest strap, but then chokes you. So for those reasons, I gave it a four. Kelty, if you're reading this, please take us (big people) into account when designing your bags.

Everything and the kitchen sink fits on this survival camel bag....buy a large bladder and fit in this hydration pack....and more room for other essential things. Light and comfortable and it adds a layer of protection on your spinal cord. Keep you safer if you have crash on your Mountain bike!

I love this bag. I recently used it on my trip to Germany and it was perfect for holding my days necessities. I only wish that it had one more pocked inside the zippered area. I had to dig around a lot to find my phone, wallet, keys, etc. I think I will get a small zipper pouch that holds those kinds of things to make it easier to locate.

Got this back to use as a small carry-on while traveling. It easily fits an iPad, chargers, book, snack, etc. No problem sliding it under the seat in front of me, plus it's very lightweight.

I really like this smaller bag by Kelty. I use it for a variety of reasons. Whether I'm taking the kids to a water park or traveling solo around town, it's great for stowing the few but essential items I might need. Plus it looks really cool and stylish in my opinion. The only gripe I have is the lack of another pocket in the main compartment. Yet I still really dig this pack as my go to "dad bag" over any other I have used.

What a wonderful bag! Everything I need for an afternoon out fits great in it. What I loved about it the most besides its durability is it's not full of over small pockets. I hate trying to remember where everything is. One large pocket with a couple little spots on the inside and a great hidden one on the side for phone or billfold.

I love this little day pack. I gave 4 stars because the ONLY way to carry water is with a bladder, and the bladder pouch is kind of a pain in the ass. Otherwise, this pack is the perfect size for a day trip! Very comfortable.
