Moisture Eater for Small Spaces
Calling this a dehumidifier is a bit a a stretch, it potentially absorbs moisture in the surrounding space. I couldn't get it to reduce or eliminate odors (shoe) so I stopped putting in my shoe after two days. I tried the bathroom closet but that seemed to be too much moisture and it didn't seem to even want to try. Finally in the hallway closet was it happily doing it's thing, well sort of. Imagine you could have a scoop of vanilla ice cream or you could have a banana split, that's what this reminded me off that it was vanilla kind of getting the job done but not really and from this product page I was expecting a banana split. It's certainly silent as it uses a porous stone to absorb moisture, while I can see my granola eating eco conscious friend (and I am respecting that lifestyle) rocking this product. Lets be honest it's well made and shaped like a mushroom. For myself the urban dweller on the struggle wagon, juggling all the things nope this product does not aid my life other than to make me long for a trip to the woods.

Cute, we will see about dehumidifying
One thing I LOVE about this is I can put it anywhere. This is an old huge house without so many power outlets. We do have two dehumidifiers but the indoor humidity does creep up there.I love the premise and it's cute. I took off the plastic parts and it looks like a porous rock. The instructions seem simple as to how to recharge it when it has pulled all the moisture it can.It has been up a few days, right now there is no reaction (it's white if it's fine, blue when it needs recharging) so we will see. For now though it's inobtrusive and it can't hurt!I'm not trying it for shoes, it feels like its job is to pull moisture out so I am not so sure about it working on stinky shoes but maybe it does.

Interesting concept.
This is very interesting. I got it for under my sink, it just always smell damp. No leaks but a dampness. I do think it helps but you have to constantly take it out and put it in the microwave...Not super easy to do but when I do it, I can tell a difference.

Worthless
Doesn't make a difference. I've had it for a couple of months now and it dies nothing. I even put a humidifier in the room to see if the patch on the bottom would change (changes color depending on how dry it is/wetness it absorbs) and it's made nk change. Please don't waste your money unless you want it bc it's cute.

Advertisements are a bit misleading
The description says that it's a SD SILENT DRY Mushroom Shoe Dehumidifier, Wireless, Reusable, effective for up to 20L Shoe box, mold remover for Home/Bathroom/Camera/Kitchen/Storage.There are key words in there that make it seem like this is a battery powered dehumidifier where it will suck air through hydrophobic filters and whatnot to remove moisture from the air.In reality, this is a moisture absorber. The "Mushroom" is just the shape they decided to go with for you to put it in places that you need. The "Mushroom" is just a case holding the more delicate moisture absorbing brick inside. It's nothing special, it doesn't do anything special besides sit there and absorb moisture naturally.I placed it in my shoe after a long day at work. After 1 hour, the one with the mushroom in it, did not seem noticeably drier than the one that did not have the mushroom in it. I'm going to try to dry it/regenerate it and test it again.Otherwise this doesn't seem like a good buy at all.

Expensive for a pair. Seems like it would be good for travel
Unless you want to dry one shoe at a time, or even have the time to do that, a pair of these is as expensive as a faster, wired shoe and boot dryer. Maybe this would be good to travel with, if you will be in damp conditions.I'm also not understanding how this is a "mold remover." Maybe it helps prevent mold from forming, but if these actually removes mold, I have yet to see it perform that task. It's a pretty dry time of year right now, and even the bathrooms do not get terribly humid, so it seems as though this either isn't working (not color change), or it simply does have any moisture to work with.I do have a shoe dryer that dries two pairs in the time it takes this to dry one shoe. I wouldn't travel with that, so maybe travel will be where this little mushroom shines.

Look it's a mushroom
This is perfect for behind my toilet, I'm getting another one for under my bathroom sink and another for under my kitchen sink. The silicone mushroom head detaches easily where you could take out what I'm guessing as a carbon stone, that you can let dry out and reuse. No batteries necessary. The mushroom had did not fit into my partner sneakers but the stone itself did which I think will do the same job. I'm not going to test that theory just yet. Maybe after I get another one. But as for fitting into the decor, it does that. And it looks cute, and I happen to know that the humidifiers that have these stones in them work well. I just never seen one. So cute.

Minimalist Dehumidifier Device, but is it worth it
This little mushroom looks cute and has no funky odor, but I still don’t know if it’s doing anything. I put it in our laundry room three days ago and it’s still white (dry). The room may be too large or not humid enough. But, if the thing is just too small, at 25$ each, I don’t think it’s quite worth it. I certainly wouldn’t get one for every pair of shoes I wear.It is nice and makes up a bit of the high price, I guess, that you can “recharge” it in oven, microwave, or out in the sunlight.I’m moving it to a smaller space and will update if need be. It will still need to do a whole lot to make up for that price tag though.
