I purchased the truck size for my Prius v (which has a very large window for a car) and cut a few inches off the shade and it works great. It goes right around my dashcam and rear view mirror and blocks the sun out well. I am surprised how well the suction cups are holding in the blazing sun and July / August heat of the Mid-Atlantic region. Hasn't fallen down a single time since mounting it just over a month ago. I cleaned both the windshield and the suction cups with isopropyl and a microfiber cloth prior to mounting. I suspect the suction cups will occasionally come loose in winter temps, but I certainly won't be using the shade in the winter anyway. The shade retracts amazingly well---much better than expected. My only gripe is that the black metal frame can get very hot in the sun and although there is a nice leather flap for pulling the blind open and closed (that gets a bit hot as well, but not nearly as much as the frame), I still find myself needing to grab a bit of the frame to get it secured to the suction cup mount which holds the shade open. Overall it is a great design and with great functionality.

I had another one of these before, but unfortunately that company stopped making them or selling them on Amazon at least. In comparison to my last one, this one feels much cheaper. It is made of a single thin Sheet and definitely feels Like you have to pull it slowly or it’s going to rip. The suction cups are good and it does quite well. It doesn’t cover my entire windshield , there are gaps on the top and the bottom. I didn’t realize that I was buying two of these. They should be selling these individually. I paid $50 for two, wouldn’t buy again but won’t be returning . Update: I gave this product 4 days and I am absolutely annoyed of it. As said previously, it doesn’t cover my entire windshield first of all and I have a sedan. Next, when I attempt to close it, it is a disaster. It doesn’t recoil well, it’s so paper thin and cheap that it struggles to get back to its resting position. It’s already crinkling . It’s popped off when I have left it on during work. Because of the large gaps on the top and bottom , it doesn’t do a good job at keeping the sun or heat out. Just don’t waste your time on this unless you’re willing to spend a few minutes after each use, carefully putting it back together .

Some important factors: I have had this for over a year and a half now. I live in a hot state (commonly between 71°F-100°F / 21°C- 37°C). I think it's decent. I chose this one because I wanted something that was easy to use one-handed. I want to say after having it for a year, it started becoming finicky. Sometimes one of the 3 suction cups doesn't suction. It is still really tight tho, so it will actually launch itself closed, if I am not careful (which can sometimes be dangerous if I have a passenger). The reflector part feels like a paper-like material. I have a few rips from daily wear and tear. I noticed on the days that it is really cold outside (60°F / 15°C and below), it doesn't stay up well, so I typically have to store it in my trunk until warmer weather. Otherwise, does it's job and is still alive and working. UPDATE: The Hook that holds the suction cups broke. Bought this August 2021. Broke October 2023. Not daily usage, but fairly common used.

The sun shade opens and closes easily, however you need to do it slowly! The fabric is a metallic paper-like material, so if you just let go of it, it will not accordion fold and you will have to spend some time pinching the pleats. Just go slow and it works great! I put it in our Santa Fe, so it is plenty big enough for a large window. In a smaller car you may be able to cut it down to size, not sure. Just bought another one several months later and THIS one has suction cups don't stick! I will try to contact the company about providing cups that work, but otherwise it is useless. My old one still works great!!! So disappointed.

Howdy, I bought one of these a few months ago when I first saw them, as I felt having a Sun Shade mounted to the windshield would make it easier for me to use. While that was in fact correct, i recently realized that though the idea is great, this specific product could use some work. Whatever its made out of is NOT durable, and the string that made it snap back in its accordion style has snapped on 1 side, making it unusable. I did a search to see if there are other brands of this, but no luck, the ones I did find seemed worse in quality than this. I would say if your willing to shell out the $$$ just to see if you're someone who would like this, than sure go ahead and buy it, but if you want a sunshade that will still be in use in about a year, keep looking! Other issues: - I'm 5'10 and its a bit of a pain to reach across to passenger side to start pulling it. - In the sun, the metal portion that you need to hook can get very hot, and attempting to use the leather strap on its own WILL NOT WORK. Its nearly impossible to actually place it into the "mount hole" without touching the hot metal. - Suction cups will fall off in the cold, not that big a deal but was puzzled at first as to why it had fallen. - You most likely need to cut a divot into the center to go around your rearview mirror. - Again it seems like its made from cheap material, the actual reflective portion is super flimsy, and if you don't guide it all the way back when your done using it, youll find that it starts bunching up strangely. - Whatever elastic they used for the string was where mines failed, and it seems if this piece breaks it becomes nearly completely trash. I can still use it as sun shade, but now to remove it is too much of a pain. TL:DR Buy it if you think you would find it helpful, and are ok with possibly buying it again within a year, otherwise wait till someone makes it better.

if you live in a place that is very hot and sunny like Florida, I ironically do not recommend this item. The rubber in the suction cups is not made to withstand high heat, so it has warped in about a month of using it. The shade will randomly come off and smack into the other side of my car or if I’m adjusting it, into my face. Also, although it has warnings, the metal that it uses gets incredibly hot and even with the little full tab, it’s virtually impossible to not touch the metal. I have gotten many accidental burns on my fingers just by using the pool tab and the metal part coming back and hitting me.

It's not meant to be put up and taken down after each use, but you can. It stays stuck to your windshield next tot the passager side window support. Takes 2 secs to deploy and 2 secs to put away. Springs keep it reeled up when not in use, but the material can be badly wrinkled or torn if mishandled. It can easily be tailored with a pair of scissors to a custom shape. I think the top and bottom portions can be cut up to 6 inches shorter than it ships. I really like it as a solution and will probably by one for each of my vehicles. It's just a bit pricy and not suitable for vehicles that will sit for days of weeks at a time between uses.
