Petrainer Replacement Remote Transmitter for Dog Shock Collar PET998DRU/PET998DBU

I am giving 4 stars rather than 5, because it didn't come with instructions on how to sync the replacement remote with the collar. Just hold the power button on the collar until you hear a long beep then push the Y button, I think. (I found the instructions online.)I also wish the remote could be secured on a lanyard. That's why I lost the original remote. It's nice to be able to grab a remote immediately rather than fishing it off your belt or out of your pocket.But this replacement works just the same as the original! I like this training collar for my 2-year-old Golden Retriever. Vibration on 5 or so is all she needs to get back on track.

Bought a replacement remote for the Petrainer collar, but it would not sync after multiple attempts. Company sent out a replacement new collar and remote. Works flawlessly. We've tried everything possible for our dog, the only thing that consistently works to correct her behavior is the beep on the collar, very occasionally the vibration. We've never had to shock. Everyone compliments her on behavior when we go out to stores.

My original one wouldn't charge after 8 months and the batteries aren't changeable. It may be a ploy to keep buying these. We will see how long it lasts. They need to go to triple A's or use better batteries.

After losing our orginal remote for our dog collars, I was sceptical that this would work. But fear not it worked perfectly!

It's a great product,just wish I could get 2controller for the collar. I only used the beeping noise to train Luna to come when I called her. In less than a month she would come when I called.

Everything worked as promised and a new collar syncs easily to the remote. HOWEVER, the collar and remote only work together for about 30 yards and not 300 yards as advertised. The dog kept jumping over the fence and would not mind the collar. Finally, we had to walk it and verified the range is terrible.

Doesn't come with instructions, but luckily someone else reviewed it and left instructions on how to pair it to the old collar. Otherwise, works great so far!

The customer service with this company has been amazing! This is my second time ordering from them (I tragically lost my original remote to a lake) and immediately ordered this replacement. Quick delivery, but unfortunately I received a defective one with the charging input broken. I emailed customer service and they responded quickly and my replacement replacement is on the way!
