Love!!
I love the design of this folding knife. It's compact and light, easy to use, swings open and close well. The grip is comfortable, and the quality is very well made. The Fiskars blades are extremely sharp and durable, excellent value for the money!

Efficient, Compact, and Well Made
I recently purchased the Fiskars Compact Folding Utility Knife and I am genuinely impressed by its design and functionality. As someone who values efficiency and compactness in tools, this knife hits all the right marks. The folding mechanism is smooth and robust, making it super convenient to carry in my pocket without any bulk. The blade is sharp and durable, capable of cutting through materials like cardboard, plastic straps, and even carpet with minimal effort. Its ergonomic handle provides a secure grip, enhancing safety and control during use. This tool has quickly become a staple in my DIY projects and everyday tasks. What sets this utility knife apart is its thoughtful construction and the attention it pays to user safety. The quick-change blade feature is a game-changer, allowing for fast and tool-free blade replacement, which I find invaluable when I'm in the middle of a task. The knife also locks securely both when opened and closed, providing additional safety and peace of mind. Fiskars has truly delivered a reliable and high-quality product that I would recommend to anyone in need of a versatile cutting tool. Whether you're a professional tradesperson or a home DIY enthusiast, this knife will not disappoint.

Quality, comfort, and performance in a small package
This was highly reviewed by an online video review outlet that does extensive testing for performance, durability, and comfort at the price point. This came out near the top and I have been very happy with it. Compact and comfortable in my hand, and it has a satisfying quality feel when opening with a flick of the wrist. I have several utility knives, both folding and fixed handle but this has become my favorite. Edit: Still using this regularly, and on the original blade- great quality there. I have one additional comment, when open the folding joint has developed a little bit of play, left to right. Still stays locked open and no issues with the cutting. I just hope it holds up for many more years, I love this thing.

Quality control issues
Seems durable but the lettering started wearing off the first day and the part that holds the blade wobbles.

A review from an electrician after 4 years of use.
Ive been using the compact version for 4 years now and it has never let me down. Ive probably stripped miles of copper with this thing day in & day out without a single issue. The only thing I would let people be aware of is that this thing is tiny compared to most other utility folders. So if you have big mitts, maybe get the standard version. Again, a great little knife that stands up to constant abuse.

Almost perfect
I bought the bigger folding utility knife for work, but the belt clip was completely useless, as others have noted. I needed fast access, and I couldn't be digging around in my pockets all the time for the knife. The compact folding knife completely solves that problem. Not only does it have a great belt clip, but its footprint is noticeably smaller and slimmer. The only thing I liked better about the bigger knife is that it feels better in the hand and it's easier to open two handed. They're both flick-able, which is what I do anyways so it's not a big deal to me. A final nitpick is that the bigger knife seems to have less slop in the closed locked position. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could! Ideally, Fiskars would iterate on this design in the future to make two perfect products: the bigger folding utility knife with the belt clip of the compact model, and the compact version with the better usability and lack of slop of the bigger model.

Perfect for small hands
Fiskars and generally all other hardware companies market their products for people with bigger hands, so it can be a challenge to find tools that are designed with users like me in mind (short person with 6.5” handspan). But I’m an industrial designer who does a ton of prototyping with all sorts of materials, so finding comfortable everyday tools is an absolute need. My favorite slim body boxcutter is falling apart and it’s never been great for carrying around in a pocket (especially not women’s pockets — when they even exist). So when I saw this new compact foldable style, I punched that buy now button so fast. Most of my utility blades and scissors (for work at the bench or leisure in the garden) are Fiskars, and I love the pro line. But the grip on my friend’s original foldable was always too uncomfortable and bulky for me to get one of my own (and the clip on that one was so tight, it was unusable). This knife is the answer for everything I asked for all these years! Love how easy it is to stow away, change blades, and flick it out one handed with ease. I’m also ambidextrous and found that the knife feels equally comfortable held by either hand. And it’s no gimmick. The weight of the knife is solid without being super heavy. Cuts like butter and the blade edge doesn’t wear down as easily as other non-CarbonMax lines. The ONLY minor caveat for me is the location of the hinge release. I have to be extra mindful of my thumb when using my right hand so I don’t depress the button while I’m cutting, especially if the knife gets stuck and I’m trying to get it free. Would be bad getting knicked by the knife if it closes accidentally that way. TLDR — Pros: Perfect for smaller hands, also comfortable for ambies & lefties, and upgraded portable design. Improved clip compared to the original pro folding knife. Cuts like butter and lasts longer than regular boxcutter blades. Con: Be careful with thumb placement over the hinge release button while you’re working, especially if you’re a rightie.

Best utility knife on the market.
I have had multiple styles of folding utility knives. This is the easiest blade change and most comfortable to use.
