Timberland Women's Maeslin Backstrap Sandal

This sandal is a perfect combination of heel height and comfort. Works well in a business casual office setting or with jeans/capris. The instep is very cushy - almost like memory foam. Wore them for over 8 hours the first day and my feet were happy the entire time.UPDATED: I've worn these sandals a few times to work over the past several weeks and I have to say they are beyond comfortable! Normally, shoes are the first thing off when I get home. I actually wore these for nearly 16 hours because I went out after work and my feet were still very happy. They are just awesome...I shall have to consider other Timberland sandals in the future.You will love these shoes!Signed,Happy feet

So, normally I don't wear heels. Pretty much ever. And certainly not ones this high. But over the summer when shopping for shoes for a wedding, I tried on a pair of these and found them unusually well-balanced and comfortable. The thing that most impresses me is their stability: the soles make full contact with the ground, so instead of flailing or tottering, I can actually kind of walk in them. No local store had them in my exact size, however, so I ended up getting different shoes for the wedding and watching these on Amazon. When the price came down enough, I ordered a pair. They seem to fit true to size, and are about as comfortable as a shoe this high could ever be. I'm saving them for short stints, like a dinner out, and estimate that I have about a 90% chance per hour of NOT breaking my ankle. That's really good for a non-heel-wearer! If you normally wear stiletto heels this high, you could probably go jogging in these and be fine. Not that I'd recommend it.

This is my third or fourth pair of Timberland sandals for women and they fit great for a 6.5M. My feet are 3in3/4 at their widest point and I am more comfortable in C or Wide widths (in Aerosoles, for example). But Timberlands must be wide because these are comfortable on the verge of too wide for me.Also note that the color IS NOT WHITE but rather that delicious cream/bone/off-white color that was missing from my shoe wardrobe and I didn't even know it!!!The shoe is lightweight, nothing chafes or binds, love the perfectly-matched topstitching and the leather detail on the cork heel. I bought it for the early 80s vibe of the toe straps. The contrast between the ladylike shape and the rugged sole just amuses me. The best of both worlds, really!Though I prefer round-shaped shoes, the almond shape on this one doesn't stick out too much beyond my toes like in some shoes.I may let myself be talked into another color...

These are SUPER comfy straight out of the box. And so cute. And very high quality, as Timberland shoes always are. BUT - the heel is just 1/2 inch to 1 inch too high for me. I'm in my mid-30's, and this makes my ankles wobbly and my back hurt. I just wish they made these a little less high. Who needs that much heel height? I also got the Timberland Whittier ones, and those are a little too low, and a far less cute (straps are much wider and clunkier, unlike the elegantly designed ones on these). Timberland, please find a compromise! 21/2 inch heels please!

These are the perfect Summer wedges! The height is perfect, not too tall, not too short, just perfect for comfort with a bit of height! I received the brown wedges and the color will go with soooo many things in my closet! The straps look perfect, kinda retro and very flattering! The padding in the footbed is nice as well and will allow me to walk in these all day long without feeling sore and tired!

I would have preferred a rounder toe to give it more of a cool casual vibe. Not a fan of the pointy type toe on sandals.They were somewhat small, so fine for sitting but not too much walking. Other than that, love the quality. The color is ok. They are feminine, but not outstanding enough to add another pair to your collection if you already have a lot of shoes.

I gave this shoe a 5 star because it's amazingly comfortable and very stylish. It works very well with skirts, dresses and long and short pants/jeans. I usually prefer a little platform because otherwise my metatarsus hurts when taking long walks and my feet really benefit from these sandals. I'd recommend this for anyone wanting to look pretty without sacrificing comfort.

I have ordered many shoes over the past few years and have been unpleasantly surprised by bad fit. However, these shoes fit wonderfully, are comfortable and stylish. I wear between 8-8 1/2 and an size 8 fit perfectly. I recommend.
