How to loose a rod
I mounted 4 rod holders on the back of my boat on 1 inch stainless. Drove across the lake with an 8 ft rod in the holder and it tipped down. I proceeded to tighten until the screw stripped out and the rod would still tip in the holder. I would not recommend to buy unless you are going to put a 3 ft Micky Mouse pole in it.
