This tea is a high quality black tea with low caffeine. It has great properties ( please read the specs). It also has a wonderful smooth taste.

I used to drink republic of tea coconut pu erh loose leaf but it was quite expensive, and I didn't always want the coconut flavor. So, I tried this very economical brand. I think I have found the best way to brew it with a bit of experimentation to get the best flavor profile.1) First I put the tea bag in a cup and add about a 1/4 cup of boiling 212 degree water. I dunk the bag a few times and then quickly discard the first "flush" brew.2) Then, I pour a full cup of boiling water over the tea bag again and let it steep for about 1 minute. Next, pour off about half of that cup and add more boiling water to top the cup off.3) I let it steep another 4-5 minutes and then add some agave or honey and a splash of oat milk.Voila ! a beautifully mellow and still very flavorful cuppa.*The flushing process gets rid of some of the more pungent / fishy notes all pu erhs can possess.

I heard about this on Julia's podcast. I don't know if it's helping me lose weight or lowering my cholesterol yet, but I'm about halfway through this box and I really look forward to my afternoon cup of tea! I do sweeten a bit with agave nectar, and really like the flavor. Be aware that this isn't regular black tea, it's funky and delicious!
