I bought this to replace a similar tool made by Bosch. The Bosch was a replacement for a previous Bosch which got a real hammering over four or five years and finally gave up the ghost. I gave the 2nd one to my son and decided I'd give another German name a try. Like all these tools they are designed in Germany, or at least by Germans somewhere, and built in the Far East, most ikely China. I mention the Bosch factor because both makes have s problem with function and durability with the chuck. The Einhell is particularly troublesome in this regard and I quite often experience the bit that I'musing just dropping out - usually when I'm on top of a ladder! The Einhell certainly packs a punch and I love the 4 Ampre/hour battery - lasts all day with moderate use. Strongly recommend the make but would urge the manufacturers to improve the chuck usability - it can be really frustrating.

I bought this from Toolstation as they had it on promotion for £89.99.It replaces a Makita cordless that ruined its front chuck bearing within a year of light use; never buy them again.I asked the guy at Toolstation for his recommendation and he was quick to recommend Einhell drills. Had he had many come back? No, none actually. Fine I said, sold then.The drill is powerful, being 18 volts not 14.4v like the Makita, it has a 13mm max size metal chuck and provides three options, regular drill/hammer drill/screw driver with torque settings, and all with 2 speeds. What is there not to like?I am very pleased with it. Recommended.
