Not as easy of install as described.
As others have said you need a 3 way or 5 way switch to make this work. Also felt cheap for the price. Had to return it.

Worked very well, looks great in the bathroom!
This exhaust fan is excellent and makes so much less noise than my old vent. I was worried about the lighting. Even on the dim setting, it still is enough lighting. This vent greatly cuts down on the humidity in the bathroom. I have only had it two weeks and no issues. I’ll write an update in 3-6 months if any issues occur. Because this unit is smaller than my old one, I had to have it professionally installed and Replaced waterproofed Sheetrock installed. They had it done in a couple hours and looks good. It changes up the whole bathroom and really perks the place up.

Really Nice Bathroom Exhaust Fan!
I'm very pleased with this fan! It is extremely attractive, has multiple lighting and fan options, is whisper quiet when running, and does an effective job of clearing steam from the bathroom. The fan perfectly fit the existing ceiling opening from our old fan. The housing is designed with little side fins for attachment. Since they are wider than the drywall opening, it was necessary to install it from the attic space above. This is something you might want to keep in mind if you're looking for a fan for a first floor bathroom that doesn't have access above. I purchased a three-button switch from my local home improvement store, and am able to operate the light, nightlight and fan separately. It would have been nice if the switch was furnished with the fan (my one gripe). Other than that, this is a very nice fan at a very reasonable price. Recommend!

Beautiful looking fan and light
Beautiful looking fan and light, I purchased this to replace a 20 year old one that made the mudroom bathroom look dated. This is very sleek and the light output is a lot more than the bulb fan that it replaced. I will probably end up replacing all my existing fans with this one as they each start to age out.

Switch is Not Included Like Other Bath Fans = An Additional $44 To Get This Fan Functioning.
As an Amazon Vine Reviewer I have an obligation of honesty concerning products I order and test to both the seller of the product and the potential customer. I don't like leaving reviews that reflect negative aspects of a product. My job, as an Amazon Vine Member, is to report both the good and bad aspects of a product. This includes comparing the product's performance, installation and included accessories to what is promised on the product page. I am asked to make sure that the customer at least partially bases their purchase on an honest review. No customer should be misled to purchase because of untrue information stated on the product page. I test products. I could not thoroughly test this fan because the switch is not included. The switch is specific to this bathroom vent fan and controls the mode, night light, color temperature and humidity sensor and timer.I had to directly wire the motor to test the fan and one light mode. To start this review on a good note I found the fan to be well built, and the bearings are very smooth. The fan blades rotate smoothly. The wires to the light in the fan are plug-in type and are well marked to run to the (absent) switch. The adapter for hooking up the hose in order to carry the vent out of the house is included. This adapter slips in and out of the housing which makes hooking the hose up easier. If I had the switch that operates this fan I could test the night light, light brightness settings and humidity control. I do not have that switch and cannot review those aspects. There are two problems with this bathroom vent fan/light combination.1. The product will not work without the switch.2. The statement that no attic access is required.1. The product page states, "By using Akicon integrated Switch with humidity sensor (sold separately), you can effortlessly control the 3CCT light, night light and exhaust fan."You cannot turn on or adjust any of the settings without the switch. The switch is specific to this fan. To obtain a bathroom vent fan that works you will have to order the switch separately for the cost of $42.99.To be fair there is a "Bundle that includes the fan and the switch" for $164.99 offered on the product page. Offering the switch and fan on a separate listing doesn't fix the fact that the customer will either need to purchase the switch separately or return the fan because it will not work without the switch.2. This: "The bathroom fans for ceiling is easy to install or replace existing product for DIY'ers with no attic access required."This statement is untrue. If no attic access is needed then you will have to strap this product to the ceiling, hook up the vent hose and strap it to the ceiling and run the hose out the window, I guess. I cannot imagine what the seller is thinking by claiming that no attic access is required. Watch the installation video. The installation (either option) requires that you cut a hole in your ceiling large enough to accommodate the fan. That hole is ATTIC ACCESS.One installation method (they are calling attic installation) is to screw the fan housing to the rafter (in the attic)The other installation method (called non-attic installation) is also performed in the same hole that was cut to access the attic. Instructions state to remove the motor unit out of the housing, connect the vent duct and then drive screws through the housing into the ceiling joists (in the attic). Then reinstall the housing and follow through with plugging in the light, etc to the unit. The statement that no attic access is needed for installing this fan is misleading and untrue. This fan only installs in the attic. Attic access is required for this product to be installed whether you call the board that the fan is screwed to a joist or a rafter both of those words mean the same thing: screw the fan to a board in the attic after you cut a hole in the ceiling sheetrock in order to obtain attic access. Now I have thoroughly done my job as a Vine Reviewer. The customer has been informed that this fan has the ability to work smoothly if a switch is purchased separately and that attic access is a necessity for installation. I gave the review two stars because the fan does run smoothly when directly wired but that was only done so that I could see if the fan worked (I have a background in electrical maintenance).
