Limited life-space
Website states, "2 Lithium ion batteries required. (included)." But the batteries are permanently sealed in the flashlight. They are not replaceable. Once they reach the end of their life the flashlight is not useable. It would be a paperweight.

Bright
After owning this flashlight for a few months now, the light output has kept up. It is still pretty bright. I am a aircraft mechanic and I work on B747 jumbo jets. When I do my walkaround, some parts of the aircraft that are extremely high, are well luminated by this light. However, the charge does not last long at all. I would say less than an hr of use after a full charge. That's why the 3 star rating. I hate having to charge the flashlight constantly.

Super Bright Light
Well made torch that's rated at 2000 lumens. This unit really throws some light. I put mine in my vehicle survival bag along with an extra set of batteries. Be aware that The Beast runs on four 123A batteries so if you plan to use it a lot you might consider buying the batteries in bulk.

BAD - BAD - BAD
This flashlight is extremely bright -- for a little while. The batteries that came with the flashlight lasted for only a few days. "Included batteries" sometimes don't last very long so I bought some new ones (very expensive ones I must say). They didn't last very long either. The usage wasn't excessive; it wa used to scan my back yard for critters that might harm by geriatric dog -- may about 10-secomnde at a time.Get a flashlight that doesn't take expensive batteries that only can be used for limited uses.

BEAST is a fitting word
This thing lights up the world! It's easy to charge, easy to use, and a nice size for gripping without being too big. Even the "dim" setting is bright, and the strobe is wicked, but the bright... GOOD GOD! Don't shine this in people's eyes for fun, and don't go looking at the bulb when you turn it on, because it's painful! It'll easily light up terrain from more than a football field away.My only small complaints... you have to cycle through the settings instead of being able to choose one or the other from the get go, but leaving it off a few seconds extra resets it so it starts at ultra bright again. Also, there is no warning when the battery runs out. The light is ON, then *poof* it's not. If you're needing it to perform for a while, make sure it has a fresh charge. That's the reason for the 4 instead of 5 star rating. If you NEED light, keep a battery powered backup light just in case.

Brightest Light You Have EVER Seen.
We had a scare of coyotes trying to kill my 7 pound dog. This light was referred to as the Las Vegas Luxemburg pyramid . the brightest thing they had ever seen. Now I have not seen any coyotes, but we did scare off a bob cat, regular cats, possums and one skunk. My darling puppy thinks his Mom (Me) is the greatest fighter since Ali. No more batteries, this thing flashes so you know it is time to charge it. So easy and I will never be without it again. It is worth the money.

THE BEAST IS BEST!!!!!
There are two versions of this flashlight. The one that uses batteries costs half as much as the rechargeable version. They are both excellent but you should put out the extra $ for the rechargeable version. The batteries aren’t cheap and they are good for only 45 minutes at the brightest setting. So even though the rechargeable version is an extra $40, you are going to end up spending $40 on batteries if you buy the cheaper version. The rechargeable one uses the same USB port that cell phones use, which is convenient. The last thing I need is another cord to carry around these days.I have bought a lot of different flashlights on Amazon and it’s been frustrating. A lot of them advertise being “<1000 lumens”, but what they don’t say is it’s only 1000 lumens to 2 feet in front of the flashlight! This one really is as bright as turning on your car headlights without being too big. This is my fifth time buying this flashlight because I loaned the first four out to friends and they liked it so much they wouldn’t bring it back. And I don’t even care because this flashlight is so good I would buy one for everybody if I could.

If You Want a Bright LED Light, Look No Further.
This light is BRIGHT. One of the best LED lights out there at this price point. It easily throws as much light out as one LED headlight on my truck. The frosted lens really helps with dispersing the beam to give it a flood pattern.

Great Flashlight, but.
This is a great flashlight but goes through expensive batteries pretty quick and you can't use rechargeables. Would be better if it was designed so you could use C or D cells or at least use rechargeable 123 batteries. The rechargeable version of this flashlight is very expensive.
