Zoot Men's Ultra Kane 3.0 Running Shoe

I've been wearing the Ultra Kane since the first version. That is, I've gone through red, blue, green, now to this blue with yellow. This current year model has the same lacing pattern as the red and green. They are noticeably more narrow than all previous year models. The real telltale sign that there was a design change is that the flare in the sole on the inside forefoot has been sculpted away. I was hesitant that these would be too tight, but after a first few runs, they feel and perform as good as previous models. Upon closer inspection, nearly all the details of the shoes are identical: the front toe piece, the loop on the heel, etc. But if you flip over the shoes and compare the sole witdh, it is narrower, although the design is the same. Overall, this remains my absolute favorite shoe, though I've yet to do a long run to determine if the more narrow format presents as a problem in terms of friction/blisters, feet enlargement over distance, etc. The huge plus which still remains with the Ultra Kane is that they are sockless - great for triathlon and, to me, for all running including up to half and full marathons.

I had tried a pair on before purchase. They are a bit tight but that was what I wanted. My feet felt great after a 5K. They are a great shoe and the price was to good to pass up.

Great shoes. Very comfortable. Sizing is the same as other zoot, Nike and asics shoes I own. Sole and support is thicker than zoot kalani which are great also, but colours are better on this shoe. Best brand shoes to wear sockless.

good on flatter terrain, asphalt. The laces take a little getting used to as it is designed for quick easy entry in transition zone of a triathlon race. I wouldn't use them in on a trail race as they don't fit that snug, steep downhills would find the minimal lacing system lacking. They are designed for wearing with no socks though I wear very thin ones and they fit well.

Zoots are simply amazing. I run with them - have 4 pairs on rotation and put a lot of miles...Whenever I can I wear them as simply everyday tennis shoes as well considering their confort - Rotate between these and Kalani's

I bought it because I want to give it a try to the zoot and this shoes really rocks! Great cushioning and very light.It's very confortable even when you're not using socks. It takes a while to acustom to it but it's fine later.The only reason for giving 4 stars is the price because I consider 150 bucks is kind of expensive. You can look for other brands with only a hundred.One advise: buy your regular size so you can take the decision later to use it with sock or without it.

I've had several pairs of Zoot shoes but this particular pair was very uncomfortable and completely unwearable. The width is abnormally small.

Geniales. Muy cómodas de calzar. Gran amortiguacion. Buena estética. Probadas en asfalto y en caminos de tierrra con buen resultado en ambos casos.
