Secret Code Book: Substitution Ciphers

This book was written for kids... has a computer science twist.

I bought this book for my daughter and we thoroughly enjoyed reading it together. This is a great book that teaches kids how to decode secret messages and gives them an introduction to substitution ciphers. The concepts are easy to follow and understand and it’s interesting to learn about ciphers and see examples of secret codes in history. The author provides a how-to manual for kids and tasks the reader to complete a series of “missions”. My daughter especially liked the cut-out template of a rotation cipher at the back of the book. She was able to decode the ciphers and by the end of the book she was able to create her own secret message. I would definitely recommend this book!

This book is worthless. I bought it for 480 odd bucks, it has a very simple information. And I already knew all of this. This book is just nothing. I bought nothing for 480 bucks. Not worth for the money.Try other!
