As a wildlife oil painter and I prepare all of my chemistry whether I'm painting on canvas, Belgian linen would paper it doesn't matter the surface is really critical. My process before I actually start to paint a layer I wet sand and it gets I would say 90% of that surface prepared the remaining 10% to the ultimate smoothness I'm able to generate with DEKO orbital sander and it is made my job. Tremendous made it much more controllable and having the special filter bag to capture the particulate from the sanding is a big plus it can also be attached to your shop vac for slightly greater suction so you have a multitude of ways to keep your room from getting all the dust. The disks that are provided on emery are extremely well-made and long lasting and I would highly recommend this orbital sander for those jobs in your art studio or woodworking shop. It's a great product Amazon provides and the service is impeccable and getting the product to my studio on time and that is so important in what I do Amazon is one of the greatest American companies today because their attention to service is right up there with all the big boys and also little boys. Need to replace battery after 25 second run time. Battery not rechargeable. Very disappointed
