Q: I have my own stereo system. This would be perfect for my car but does it have the part where I can connect my ac wires into?

Yes it does. I put one in my sons car and it works great! We had two Metra kits prior that DO NOT LAST very long. This one has a lifetime warranty and so far has been in the car for four months so far with no issues.

Q: Screen sizes ? I’m looking at 6.8” and 6.75” head units. Will they fit in the housing ?

My JVC KW-V20BT fit fine and has install w/h/d of 7-1/16" × 3-15/16" × 6-5/16"

Q: Does it work with factory ac controls? The one I have now doesn’t have a place to plug them in.

Thank you for your inquiry. The Mustang 4-pin climate control harness connects to the 4 Pin receptacle that is part the ITCFD01B included harness. See page 4 of the installation instructions (Wiring Diagram page). Note, this model is not compatible with DUAL Climate control Mustangs. If you have DUAL climate, you need item ITCFD01AB. . If you need further assistance, please contact the Scosche Tech Support Team at 800-363-4490 Ext. 3.

Q: If i did have the shaker 500 or 1000 would it still work with this dash kit? What would i be losing?
