Great Product - Great Value
I have now purchased two of these bars now from amazon.co.uk. The bars are excellent. They arrived very quickly and were packaged incredibly well. The bars are just slightly shorter than full size 7'Olympic Bars and have the 1" diam, that allow it to be used with standard weights. The bar actually measures 6'06'' in length. The main advantage being that the bar has the same diameter as an Olympic Bar which makes them much easier to grip.An excellent product and very pleased with the purchases. I previously purchased one from a shop few years ago and paid lot more for the exact same product.I have tried to buy new bars from other shops but could not find a supplier. Was very happy to discover amazon selling the product. If you use standard weights,1'' (diam) dont waste money buying standard bars. Bully bars are much better and are a very well manufactured product.

A great bar, but slightly bent
There's been a few here complaining about bent bars. Mine came slightly bent. There's no way the courier could have done it without leaving a mark on it so I can only assume they're leaving the factory like this. The majority of the bar is straight, but one of the sleeves is slightly bent. It's not a huge amount and I don't think it'll make it unstable in use, but it's annoying on a relatively high priced bar.The other thing I'm not keen on is that there's no index marks in knurling, which there really should be on a 6+ foot bar.Other than that it's supurb; the difference between 25mm and 28mm is HUGE in the hand. Much more than you'd expect based on it only being a couple of mm. It's also nice and heavy.Assuming it doesn't bend further I expect it to last me a lifetime. Or until I get so strong I need to upgrade to an Olympic bar, but that seems unlikely

Its a quality piece of metal
It's a long metal bar with smooth bits at the ends and rough bits in the middle. I found this good because I could get a good grip on the bar. It is not too heavy to swing, although some smaller people might have trouble with it. I first went into the garden and hit a tree with it, with a classic baseball-bat grip. The extra length means more power is generated and I really felt manly and potent as the huge oak tree shuddered from my blows. It can be driven into soft soil and used as a flag post, even during heavy winds. After that I took it inside. It is too large to use as a pasta roller and it does not fit in my fridge which was disappointing.

Ideal bar for gym or Apocalypse!
Does exactly what you expect it to do, solid bar, several ever so slightly grooved/diamond grip cross areas across bar so nice and easy to set up hand placements at various widths. Sturdy bar to be far and I'd imagine it will serve me many years over. No complaints here for the money at all.Remember its not built for Olmpic weights (unless you buy an adapter) but is for standard weights. Beyond that, can't go wrong with this... Would also come in handy during the zombie apocalypse, not too heavy and long enough to poke the zombies away...

Good, but warping has occurred.
I bought this item 8 months ago and I am pleased I waited before writing a review. It's a good bar. It's weighty, has sharp knurling (including centre knurl for added grip on squats), and longer than your average standard barbell. However, as I've gotten stronger I have just noticed that the bar has now bent at the sleeves (see the picture I uploaded on the images section). Now the stated capacity is 150kg, however, I have only gotten up to 124kg deadlift for reps. I thought I would still have some leeway.Obviously I'm quite disappointed about this as it is one of the more expensive standard barbells you can buy and thought it would be more solid. I didn't treat the barbell harshly (no dropping and no olympic lifts) but it has given out sooner than it should have.I've decided to buy a proper olympic barbell now anyway. This is still a good bar though and certainly played it's part in my training.

Not a bad bar as the only issue is that it has ...
Not a bad bar as the only issue is that it has less room for plates, so you have to buy bigger plates, but this is an excellent strong barbell. I think the standard one is about 7kg, and this is about 10.5kg including the collars. However, if you are buying a completely new set, and if you can handle a 20kg bar easily, go for an Olympic 2-inch barbell set - they're not that much more expensive as a set, as a 120kg set can be about £35 difference between a standard 1-inch and an Olympic 2-inch set of the same weight. The Olympic bars are stronger and the ends rotate independently. But please, only buy cast iron, not the vinyl stuff, which break and those bars have a much lower capacity - unless you're buying for a kindergarten, maybe.

Buy Bar but be aware of poor packaging
Very poor packaging!!!! Bar came, but plastic bag was ripped open that it came in, which in turn during transit damage Bar! Sent bar back and was promised the next Bar would have better protection. This turned up and again in a plastic bag which again was ripped and had bad scuff marks on Bar!!!!

It feels good, thick
It feels good, thick, good knurling at both sides and in the middle BUT... it warped overnight when left on rack with 30kg on each side (60kg total). That should not happen, especially not on a brand new bar. It's apparently rated to 150kg and bends at less that half of that - very disappointing. My old bar (on the photo for comparison) is thinner and that has never happened for me over many years and I bought it used.
