Unfortunately I no longer have the price tag of this book. If it cost me $5.00usd or less - it's worth the money. If it cost more than that --- THIS book in itself is convoluted on how it is organized. Ironic eh? Examples: 7 paragraphs to explain "easy deviled eggs" that are not easy if it took that long. When baking you should save a small amount of cake mix so you can use it instead of flour to flour your pans.(What about the taste? Or those little worms that pop up if left too long?). Save left over party paper napkins for future "little gift wraps". (Never mind that these are usually very fragile for wrapping eh?) Mosquitoes are attracted to blue clothing so dress in blue at the picnic(?) or all Summer(?). Ohhhh and we NEED to know that ancient Egyptians used baking soda to keep their mummies fresh. Don't forget! AND NOW....the only item never mentioned here---- IS MY FAVORITE.....READY? Always keep a can or bottle of ORIGINAL COCA COLA in the laundry room. COKE REMOVES dry blood and THE HARDEST OF STAINS. And you can even drink the rest.

This book is a wealth of good ol', down home solutions to everyday problems from EVERYTHING from a treasure trove of uses for vinegar, to a treasure trove of uses for duct tape, to make-it-yourself beauty secrets! Some of these solutions are much better than others, but with the vast majority of them working so well, this book is worth every penny! For example, under "energy-saving solutions" you are told "if you are trying to decide between dark blue or baby blue paint for walls, use the lighter color that will reflect the light and heat in a room better than dark colors." WHO KNEW? Very good book, and I highly recommend it!

OMG this is a God Sent, My microwave oven wasn't working, this book had a quick fix, and I was able to fix my microwave oven, even my boyfriend couldn't believe I fixed the microway oven, I"ll tell you when you get this book and start to read it, you wont be able to put the book down, Its so interesting they have all the answer. this book saved me from buying a new microway oven. I saved over $2 hundred dollars from this book, yep I got my moneys worth, this is a great investment. and it has so many ways you can save, its amazing. get this book, and enjoy!!!!!

This is undoubtedly a most amazing book, I would certainly recommend this to everyone. It is a must have and the suggestions are so simple and cost effective and yield overwhelmingly successful results. On a lighter more comedic note, the suggestions here are so common sense the alternate title for this would be "Things that make you go Duh!"

never got around to trying it but interesting

I saw this book in the Dr.s office and had to order it - some very useful info- even my husband likes it.
