The best for wild onions!
I have been gardening for 30+ years in the Georgia clay, and this is the best tool I have ever used to removing wild onions. Wait for the soil to be most, dig this sucker in, and voila! Onions are history, root and all. I will never be without it. PS All Wolfgarten garden tools are pretty awesome.

Wolf-Garten weed extractor
All the Wolf-Garten products are amazing- I love that I can take each piece and add to my pole or wand and not have too many tools in garage. This is a bit harder to work though. You push in ground- then make twisting motion to be able to get the weed to break and come up. It is a bit bulky so its harder to get in between the flowers and be able to remove the dandelion. I still do like it though- I just think it will take me a bit longer to figure it out

Works as Designed
I use the mid-size handle with the hand hole so as to twist which allows me to extract the weed. I place this next to the weed shaft then press straight down and give a twist and then pull up with the weed. Works quite well with a bit moist ground. Don’t use this like a shovel to dig or with a great angle and bend it sideways. Straight down and twist works the best. I initially used the straight handle but could not get the twist I needed.

High Quality Gardening Tools
We were introduced to the Wolf\-Garten tools while stationed with the Army in Germany. Have been using them ever since. In 20 years of use, have never had one break or wear out. My opinion, these are the highest quality gardening tools available!

Replaced my old one!
I had this tool for several years, . . but it was hard attached to the handle. When it broke I had to buy both this tip, and the handle. Since I own a full set of the wolf-Garten tools I now have even more options. This extractor is just essential.

It's an innovative way to tackle tough weeds
Works great on most soils but finds it tough in clay which tends to clog the tool

Rare disappointment with this Wolfgang tool
Rare disappointment with this Wolfgang tool.. Although it will go deep enough to get underneath dandelion roots, its shaft easily bends when applying leverage thus making it useless. Too bad. This could be a great tool if made of stronger material.
