like - came fast, would order again

I only print a few pages a week. I noticed that my pages had a very light gray background, as if there was toner getting deposited. After living with it for a year, I got tired of the problem. I did all the troubleshooting & cleaning steps, but still gray background. By swapping the position of toner cartridges in the printer, it was clear the problem was the current black toner cartridge. Finally I noticed people saying that sometimes generic toner can be the problem. I opened my printer, and saw that I had installed a generic brand of black toner (JARBO, ASIN B06XNPD6H6, no longer avail on Amazon). I installed in 2018, and now 2021. There was not any problem in the first few years with the generic toner, but in 2021 the gray background started to show up. Printer said still 50% black toner remaining, but the generic only cost me $20, so I was ok throwing away the rest. I bought this new genuine Brother toner, installed, and now nice white background on prints. Maybe generic toner is ok if you print enough to use it up within a year or two, but in my case it seems like the generic toner "went bad". I plan to purchase only genuine brother toner in the future.

Very good quality

Very simple to install, prints great quality compared to other brands. My wife being a school teacher puts this product to the test weekly and it never disappoints.

I tried my hand at some replacement on my older ink jet and it was a waste. I did not bother on the copies with this laser printer. BTW black has standard yield only. The color cartridges have high yield. I do not know why this is, given that black should have been high capacity.Also like my ink jet, this printer also has the ability to reset cartridge usage count. Got this off a website (Precision Roller - giving them credit). Steps below:1. Ensure the printer your Brother multifunction unit is switched on. If the machine is not in sleep mode, an image should appear on the LCD display.2. Hint: It is easier to press the fax key at this time and note the location of the Asterisk key before opening the printer lid. Once the printer lid is open, the keypad will no longer be illuminated.3. Open the printer lid of your Brother MFC-9340 (and related models).4. Press and hold the Asterisk key for five (5) seconds. Even though the keypad is not illuminated with the printer lid open, the asterisk key does still function.5. A new menu should appear on your Brother’s LCD display.6. The LCD display should now show different options based on toner color as well as cartridge capacity. Select the printer cartridge that you would like to reset. Can I get a new yellow cartridge? The powder is in the inside of my machine, and on my floor.

While more expensive, the authentic Brother toner cartridges have been solid, problem-free supplies for my Brother MFC. I also appreciate that Brother offers a recycling program that provides a pre-paid shipping label for returning the toner cartridges to Brother.

The TN221 black cartridge would not work in my Brother 9130CW printer. I started return, then tried the magenta. It worked fine. That is a TN225. So if the black does not work, the color cartridges may still do so. Lovely color, from what I can see. For the price, it is worth trying. Company service has been great. I cancelled my return, because the cost of the entire set is less than an individual OEM. So disappointed that the black cartridge isn't accepted, but maybe that is our particular printer, rather than a flaw in the cartridge. I did order an original Brother black cartridge and it works fine. But mercy, so expensive! I'm hoping the other color cartridges work as well. Not time to replace them yet, but will hold on. Still worth the price if even one out of the set works.

Boy was I surprised when this showed up as promised on Good Friday! Given that it was a holiday, I figured it would be Saturday before I saw it. This was to replace the demo toner that came with the printer so I'm expecting some mileage out of it. That being said, this vendor had the best pricing for a genuine cart by far. I'll be checking their pricing when it comes time to replace the colour carts somewhere down the road. Brother even supplies free shipping to send the old toner cart back for recycling. That's gotta be worth something.

Never had any problems with Brother cartridges. Had major problem with the knock offs gumming up my printer. Spent a lot of time cleaning it out and was surprised I was able to get it back to working order. Didn’t give 5 stars to this item because of high price. In Canada, download the return labels to send back to Brother. Gives you a discount on your next purchase.

I purchased this toner 6 months ago. About 3 months ago black streaks started to appear. Within that time I cleaned the corona wire, I have replaced the drum unit. I have even replaced the fuser unit. Thoroughly cleaned the unit (a few times) way beyond what I would think most people would be do. I would have only printed maybe 100 or so pages since installing this toner. Not only is the streak sill there, but the black is starting to fade. I purchased this toner because I don't believed it would be better because it was genuine Brother.Very disappointed in the quality of this particular cartridge.

Have tried a few aftermarket "cheapies" to save money but in the end I'm sticking with the original! Ot works perfect, lasts way longer than the others but does cost a little more.You get what you pay for in the end!

Toner cartridges are not inexpensive. Apprehensive of off brand toner with reviews about damaging or messing up the laser printer. Recommend but more money
