A Beautiful Book
I gave it five stars because it deserved more than five stars. It is well written and researched. It also delivers to those who have hearts that are ready to learn what we need to do to rebuild our culture. We will not only help ourselves, but also others who are searching for more. We need to educate ourselves and others (who are willing) in philosophy, art, real literature, and Latin (which helps with English and scientific terms). We need to lose the utilitarian mindset that says that education is only useful for our immediate and practical needs, like making money. Life is an adventure, but we need to be able to get home to Heaven at the end. We are goal oriented people, but we are also process oriented. This book uses the Catechism of the Catholic Church as it’s structure which makes it easy to follow. I recommend downloading the Catechism as well and reading it. Whether or not you agree with it, you will be amazed at how it progresses and what it covers. This book is shorter, so you can read it first. Read the book!

Very well done
A good read. It brings the real issues surrounding the secular culture and the remedy needed in order to recover our long forgotten identity as Roman Catholics. I highly recommend this book, especially to priests and seminarians.

Good insight on decline, not so much for rebuilding
I really enjoyed this book, but I agree with some of the other reviewers that the author waits too long in the book to offer his prescription for rebuilding Catholic culture. His insights into Catholic culture's decline are fascinating and sometimes quite surprising. I particularly enjoyed his thoughts on church architecture. However, based on the title I expected a more in depth treatment of how the culture of the Church can be reinvigorated. All in all a solid read however.

Clear, Orthodox, and Practical Advice - Gave Me Ways and Ideas for Increasing My Faithn
While some of the content is aimed more at the clergy, especially bishops and cardinals, I found this a clear statement of all the key problems that face the Church, but with practical solutions. In some cases, even the ideas, if you can accept them, are cures in themselves. It remains to be seen whether enough of us can put them into practice, before it's too late.

Truth is beautiful!
This book lives up to all the recommendations and more. I can't tell you how many times I found myself saying YES! Our Catholic faith is being bombarded from the secular world is every direction, Mr Topping has incredible insight. I highly recommend this to everyone who seeks the truth.

detailed
Well, let me preface this review by saying that I am not Catholic. My husband was raised Catholic, so I have been trying to read as much Catholic literature as I can to better understand his heritage. This book is not for that. Honestly, I am a well read, well educated person and I found my attention wandering quite often. There is a lot of information and not a great deal of style. It reads a great deal like a textbook. Perhaps someday I will give it another try, but not likely.

Every Catholic should read.
Our traditions and teachings move us toward God and Heaven. Read this book and then read the catechism. Trust this author's advice and move in the direction of understanding your Catholic faith. TRUST THE CHURCH and move forward. HIS Kingdom will be done....

Fantastic
Not only are Topping's arguments well formed and prescient. His prose are truly a delight to read. Not many authors can really pull off Chestertonisms, but he does.

Thought provoking
Haven't finished it all yet, but so far this book is making me think about how to do the new evangelization in my particular circumstances. One part I found immensely helpful is his point that Christ's Church has more to offer than criticism. This opened my eyes and made me change my approach a bit.
