Happy Dotting Company Erasable soapstone marker with holder idea for dotting mandala art guidelines on dark surfaces - white grey color

This erasable art pencil is excellent! I have been doing "dot art" for a little over a year and I have tried a few chalk pencils that supposedly will wipe off the paper with a wet cotton swab or sponge. Many of them did not erase fully but this one from HDC erases fully as promised. It also sharpens well without wasting or breaking the chalk lead like many other "regular" style pencils do. That is a lead surrounded by wood. I don't really know what "soapstone" is- whether an actual stone, mineral, or other but it works for what is says it does and that is all that I need to know!

Not what I was hoping for. But well made and useful in other ways

I’ve purchased several chalk, pencils, charcoal, pencils And now this mechanical erasable, pencil/stone. Out of all of them that I use I love this one the best my only complaint is that it’s hard to sharpen to a fine point I do use a pencil sharpener, maybe if I try a knife, I can get a finer point to fit inside my mandala outlines . But love the product! PS… it does come with an extra refill, should last me over a year.. update: sharpened with a sharp knife and was able to get a sharp pointed edge..

the package on mine was damaged and had been taped up. The sticks were also broken but still usable. Overall, I like this better than the pencils. Marks well on my rocks and wipes off easily. Doesn't mark easily over some paint textures, like satin or gloss

I bought this pen for drawing guidelines on my stones & canvases for dot painting Mandalas. I can sharpen it to a fine point. It makes a line easily with no pressure so it won't leave any type of indentation when working on a wooden piece. I haven't used it yet to draw grid lines but I tested it on black paper & was shocked at how fine the line was, even without me sharpening it to a fine point.

I saw this while watching a "how-to" rock painting video. The artist recommended this item to outline your design FIRST before painting, especially writing words. Use a paper towel to wipe away and redo if you don't like your first attempt. Lasts a LONG time!

It's AMAZING. Works so well for dotting projects done on dark background. Wipes off so easily with baby wipes too!
