Such a simple device... if you setup a machine without a monitor (i.e., a jumpbox), when you remote to the machine, you can only get a low resolution screen. Pop one of these on, and the machine thinks you have a 4K display attached, so you can set whatever screen resolution you want and actually work remotely without a hassle of the low res display

Good quality and they all work

Worked good for two use cases for me: first, I had an older game that didn't like my laptop screen because it didn't have a 1024x768 display mode, and this had said mode and conned the software into starting anyway (still displayed on the laptop screen); second I had a machine I was trying to operate headless that didn't like to support remote connections via GUI without this in place to show up as a display.

Works as intended.

If you have a headless machine that you're using for gaming, or other GPU intensive tasks, but don't want to actually hook up a monitor this is the perfect solution. They're small, but they're heavier than they look so build quality seems good. Great price, works perfect for the scenario described above, and the picture looks great. I run Linux on my primary rig, but still need to use "certain design apps that don't work on Linux" from time to time. Using Sunshine + Moonlight (I'm sure it'd work great for Parsec sans-VDD as well), with one of these connected to my fileserver, I'm able to login without a physical monitor connected and get design work done, no lag or ghosting whatsoever.

Unfortunately, only 2 out of 3 of these dummy plugs worked out of the box. Thankfully, I only needed one for my intended purpose, but anyone who absolutely needs three might consider buying 2 packs, or looking elsewhere. Despite 1 being faulty, these dummy plugs seem to be robustly built (although, full disclosure, I have only been using them for a short time). Windows recognized them right away, without any drivers or applications needing installation. The best thing about them, though, is they can help solve unique and/or complicated PC and A/V connection issues- which is why I needed them. I have knocked off 1 star for the faulty plug but otherwise I would recommend these.

A+. Picked up the 3-pack and couldn't be happier. These HDMI dummy plugs work exactly as advertised — plug them in and your system instantly recognizes a 4K HDR display with zero fuss. No driver installs, no configuration headaches. Great for headless PCs, remote desktop setups, GPU rendering rigs, or anywhere you need a virtual monitor. Having three in the pack is a great value and means you've got spares on hand. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a reliable, no-nonsense headless display solution!

Lo conectas y listo. Yo los uso para poder conectarme de forma remota por Anydesk a tres equipos con Windows 11 que tengo sin una pantalla.

Muy bueno cuando no tienes mas de 1 monitor y quieres grabar tu pantalla y ademas quieres seguir trabajando mientras se graba o simplemente para hacer presentaciones en PPT, funciona muy bien hasta ahora.
