I really like this globe. You can see some lines in the globe where it pieces together but it's on the lower end of the price range for globes and still educational. The plastic stand is not hard acrylic like you would think. Previous reviews said it was flimsy and it is. I'm not sure why they chose to make it so flexible. Something to note that I didn't realize when I made the purchase is that it can be laid down on its side as well. Love that aspect... With all of that being said, it looks nice and will work for my homeschool curriculum. My son is out of the "break everything" stage so I think as long as the cats don't get to it we will have it for a long time. If you aren't looking to spend 50+ but need a nicer globe I'd recommend this one and I'd buy it again.

The globe is great, and so far I’ve had no problems. My only concern is the plastic holder for the globe. If you have small children, you might not want to choose it. The plastic seems like it could break. It is pretty flimsy. Other than that, The product is wonderful.

This is exactly what I was looking for. A nice sized globe, just the the one from school. I have read some nit picking reviews on this model. The stand is just fine. It's plexi, looks nice. I think it holds up to spinning just fine. The price is great. It's also a good one to grab if you want to make your own stand. But the supplied stand is good. The fit and finish are good. Recommended.

My twins are taking AP human Geography this coming year and the numbers of maps they need to learn is great. The globe is a nice addition to their resources! Very detailed, excellent quality and up to date. I loved most the booklet that came with the globe.... enjoyed learning about the different aspects of the globe and why they are there. While I bought it for my 15 yr olds I love it just as much! Extremely detailed!! Love it!

After looking at every globe on Amazon I'm so glad I chose this one. I'm very pleased with this purchase. The globe looks great and I like that the clear plastic doesn't take any attention away from the globe itselft. The plastic isn't very thick but it seems sturdy enough for general use. It will be a great addition to our homeschool this year!

This is a great globe. It has a sturdy base that is more modern looking for young people.The colors are good, the lettering easy to read and it spins well and not floppy. One problem cost it a star. It is a relief map also, however, the mountain ranges in the eastern U.S. and in the western U.S. are in the wrong place. They are approximately 1/2 inch east of where they belong. This puts the Rocky Mountains through Kansas and the Appalachians through Long Island. Good grief. Please fix this, Replogle, and preserve your good name. (Other mountain ranges in the rest of the world seem to be correct.)

Ordered this for my 8 year old grandson. He was so excited and loved it. There is good detail as to cities and land/seas/etc. I think it is very good quality. My only dismay was that it is quite large for a tabletop or dresser, which is where he wanted his. I suppose without its being of that size, the names of places and features might not be as legible, which they are. Overall, if you have the space for it, it is a great learning resource.
