Clean Gain, Solid Build, and Perfect for Gain-Hungry Mics
I’ve tested a lot of audio gear, especially when it comes to getting the most out of microphones that need a serious boost, and this mic preamp definitely delivers. If you’re working with gain-hungry mics, this little unit makes a noticeable difference right away. The gain is clean and transparent. It adds plenty of volume without introducing hiss or unwanted noise, which is exactly what you want in a preamp. I was able to push my levels comfortably without cranking my interface all the way up, and the sound stayed crisp and natural. Great Value for the money. The 48V power is a huge plus. It gives you flexibility to use both dynamic and condenser microphones without needing extra gear, which makes this a really practical addition to any setup. Whether you’re recording, podcasting, or streaming, it just works. Build quality is also impressive. The metal casing feels solid and durable, not cheap or flimsy, and it does a good job minimizing interference. It’s compact enough to fit easily into any setup without adding clutter, which I appreciate since my desk is already full of gear. Overall, this is a reliable, no-nonsense preamp that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you have microphones that need extra gain, this is a simple upgrade that can seriously improve your sound without overcomplicating your setup.

Input and Output XLR are both female
Good simple unit, works decently for the price, but you will need an additional adapter or non-standard XLR cable for output connection.

Not as pictured
Not as advertised. Shows two female ports and is one female and one male. Should describe better.

great mic preamp
I like this mic preamp because it has its own rechargeable battery. I've only used it for speaking, but it adds enough adjustable gain to allow the speaker to use the microphone without worrying about how close they have to be to the mic. I used it at about 50% gain for a little over an hour. I'm confident it would have lasted longer.

Good Audio Reproduction
Using this to amplify the output of a wireless mic into a wireless monitor system for language translation. Audio range is broad and voice reproduction is great. This is working great for us and the dual format connectors will handle any future changes we may need to make. Overall very pleased with this purchase

Damn good lil PreAmp
Its super small and compact. It's backup battery charges quickly and there is litterally no signal hum even with gain cranked to full. Definitely worth the $$$

I now have a HOT mic signal!
This little box solved a vexing problem for me. When running my mic through a vocal processor to my PA, the output signal had no heat to it, in fact I had to have the channel turned all the way up to 100%, creating unacceptable hiss. As soon as I ran the output through this little preamp, I had so much signal that I had to turn the channel down to 25%. Problem solved.
