Crate expectations.
If you're looking to securely stow an anchor cable for an ocean going racing yacht for use in heavy weather, then you're going to have to look elsewhere. This item is more suitable for stowing your household bits and bobs and stacking tidily in a corner.I have yet to have one fall apart after being properly put together. To build your crate:Lay base down on a firm flat surface. (Floor, table top, whatever.)GENTLY raise green sides by lifting grey top rim as far as it will go.From inside the green sides, GENTLY push outwards until each side is properly vertical.GENTLY fold down grey sides from inside the crate.GENTLY press the bottom of the grey sides outwards until they click into the bottom base.If you want to keep the crates permanently in use, you could perhaps cut up a sticky carpet tile to lay against the bottom of the grey sides to ensure that they don't pop open while being moved.QED - Job's a good 'un, and Robert's your parent's brother.

Cheap items and poor packaging caused damage during delivery.
The items were wrapped in 2 sheets of thin bubble wrap and then black plastic wrap. These crates should have cardboard around the corners during transit, at the very least. the plastic is quite brittle, so the smallest bump would cause bits to shatter. 2 of the crates were damaged beyond repair. One crate (that wasn't damaged) didn't fold flat. The final crate looked like it will break very easily. I have requested a return/refund for mine.

Ends fall off, not very "collapsable"
Bought these to keep in car (flat when not in use) so I could pop shopping into themwhilst the thickness of the plastic is adequate for purpose, they are poorly designed/manufacturer1. They don't fold/unfold very easily2. the ends tend to fall off in the process3. the clips that hold the ends in place don't really do their job and 2 have already broken in the process of opening/foldingI bought 4 of these, and they are all much the same - so it wasn't a "one off" on one of the boxesSave your money and just pick up the ones from B&Q - which might be £1 more, they do actually functionLesson learned

Absolute Rubbish!
Soon to be moving house & needed a few more folding crates. This pack of 4 arrived today & 3 are damaged & one that only 'just' clicks together is very weak! Furious is an understatement ... total waste of money! Can't find a way to get a refund either ... only a replacement 'if I return them' .... bit difficult in a National Lockdown. Very cheap flimsy plastic ... save your money & don't bother!

Recommend for general storage
Recommend for general storage - I use for craft die storage so slightly heavy contents. Not as strong and rigid as heavy duty crates but adequate for general storage. A little care needed not to damage base locking tabs. Fold well. Reasonable price.

Flimsy & Broken
Flimsy and broken when arrived, wish I would have read the reviews before buying?! They looked like some I already have but are far from it! Avoid!
