GASHER 4PCS Brass 1/4" NPT Male Air Compressor Safety Valve 150 PSI Set Pressure

Update: 12/8/23 Finally pulled the air compressor out of the closet in the garage and installed these 150 PSI pressure relief valves. Working great. Use a 14mm deep socket or wrench to install.Very good construction, materials, and a stainless stiff pressure spring rated at 150 PSI. I have a vertical 20 + gallon compressor in the garage and after the draincock broke/seized years ago I put a pressure relief valve on the bottom of the tank to purge the tank twice a year. The problem is the old purge valve is only 125 PSI so it pops open too easily. This will remedy that problem so that my correct tank pressure rating of 150 PSI is maintained. These are a great way to purge the moisture from your compressor tank and they never lock up or fail the way drain cocks can do from exposure to interior tank moisture. I had to drill and tap the bottom of my tank years ago because the old brass draincock was frozen to the tank. You can replace the one on the top of the tank and the bottom so that both valves are new and equally rated to 150 PSI. Just make sure that there is room/clearance on the bottom of the tank for this type of valve.
