Totally worth it
I have done some rather unconventional things with these telemetry radios. I picked up 4 of them and have been able to control more than one drone using them. When the GCS is set to Broadcast TX and the Drones are set to Broadcast RX, you can pass missions to them easily. I would like very much to be able to rewrite the firmware of them so that they all support Bi-directional control as I know they are capable of that due to the nature of how they work in their typical set up. Probably something simple in the firmware that prevents it. They Work fantastic and are really fun to experiment with. My next experiment I'm going to do with them is use them as a long distance router with a "repeater" type node in the middle. That ties in to my want for re-writing the firmware because as it stands right now, I will need to hook a Broadcast RX and a Broadcast TX to a single pi and with some clever python scripting in the middle, I can in theory achieve the routing effect. Update 12 December 2025: Through the PPP (Peer Point to Point Protocol) You can use these as a network interface to remote ssh into other embedded devices. Very cool. Don't expect lightning fast speeds like you would get through wifi or ethernet, but it's a fun thought experiment.

An excellent lora telemetry radio for the price
A friend of mine had become frustrated with a pair of these lora that he recently purchased so he gave them to me to work with. So I downloaded the proper driver and MicoAssistant app from their website to configure each lora. Since I am using these lora to send RTCM3 correction messages from my Base Station to my Rover, I used the MicoAssistant app to program the Base Station lora as the Broadcast Tx, the Rover lora as the Broadcast Rx, left the Transmission baud rate at the 57600 default, and changed the Transmission power from Max to Min. In practice these lora work great and I have been able to achieve over a quarter mile range LOS at the Min Transmission power without any signal loss. So I would say that these lora, when run at Max Transmission power will more than fill the bill as an inexpensive lora with superior performance. Since they worked so well, I purchased another pair for myself to use on a second Rover and to have one for a backup spare which, given the quality of the product, I doubt that I will need.

Works with Radiolink Crossflight FC with Modification.
Bought this to use for mission planner on a ground control station. I am very new at this and I am building my first drone. I bought this for a Radio link Crossflight flight controller, It is compatible with ardupilot. I was able to get the drone Binded to my ELRS radio on telemetry1 but wanted the Micoair Telemetry setup for the telemetry 2 slot. I not 100%t sure but I believe it needs them to use return home and other features. I bought these rolling the dice not knowing if they would work, After modifying one of the connector ends following the old Chat GPT instructions and installing a drover on my CPU it connects just fine. They connect to each other instantly actually the hard part was the connector modification.

Poorly built and unusable
Very poor quality. USB c port on one of the units is loose and unit loses power at the slightest movement.

It Works!
These modules worked exactly as they were expected to work. I was able to download the configuration app and make changes. They find each other immediately and work as if the serial port was directly connected to the computer.

Zero Support or Config Info
Buy the mainstream brands for this half-baked telemetry stuff. There are no support options, there is an "application" to download and to set it up but there is zero instructions and none of the options can be selected. The app barely works other then to send TEXT out the comport at regular intervals. No settings can be tailored. Example: App Defaults to 115K Baud but the devices are cofigured somehow to 57K out of the box. App can't even read the device to identify it as its own brand. No way to "bind" these. Looks hard coded for binding with the same unit. The app is just a COM tool with buttons that don't work. No Firmware updates, No manuals, No settings or config options, No pinouts (The Amazon Order Item info is about it for details).
