Great product! Lasts! Looks good!
Gel nail polish peels easily. I researched several bonding gels that better adhere to your nails than the average gel options. I also wanted a product that is easy to remove. I can't express how pleased I am. Beetles prebond base gel is buildable so you can wear several coats. I have thin nails so I always apply more than one coat. I'm so pleased with it that I wear it without a color layer. It looks very natural. My nails stronger. The gel layer is durable and doesn't easily peel or chip. Love it!! Will definitely purchase again!

Excellent gel base - Bad reviews have to be user error
I have used the Beetles PreBond Base gel numerous times and in various ways since I bought it over 4 months ago and I felt like I had to write a review for it. I was hesitant to buy this product because when I bought it earlier this year, it must have been new and had quite a few bad reviews. I’m convinced those who didn’t have a good experience must have not been using the product correctly because this stuff makes my gel manicures stick extremely well! Some tips for people who have issues or don’t know how to use it:1. This is a gel product and requires a LED/UV light to cure it. Not just a little lamp but a full size light. (More on that later)2. As a base coat (and with many other gel products) even once cured, it will still have a sticky layer called the inhibition layer on top that remains after fully curing that can be removed with alcohol or another gel cleanser. If you are covering the base with another Beetles gel product, like a color or builder gel, you don’t need to remove the inhibition layer. If you are putting a different brand on top, to make sure you don’t have a chemical incompatibility issue with another brand, you can just remove the inhibition layer, give the surface of the base a light buff then apply. I’ve used it like this with other gel colors and have never had a problem.3. Make sure your nail is completely cleansed, prepped and ready for the base gel. You need to have a clean and slightly roughed up surface for the base to adhere to. Be careful not to overfile the nail as this can lead to product lifting. Google how to prep your nail for a gel manicure. Nail prep is probably the most important step when getting your gel to perform well.4. Use a very tiny amount to start, easier to do with a separate brush and putting a small bit of the base on a palette and working it into the brush. Your brush should be on the smaller side and compatible with gel products. Use the brush and the tiny bit of product to scrub the PreBond base into the nail. You want to really work it into the surface of the nail bed. Avoid your skin, obviously and do a very very thin layer.5. After your thin, scrubbed in layer, you can add a second layer over top. You don’t have to cure between these two layers but you can if you want to. After your second layer, cure for at least the time recommended (60s I believe) but if your lamp isn’t powerful enough, you’re not going to have a fully cured product. Small mini lamps, gel x type of lamps, etc are not enough to cure any gel fully. Those are for flash curing only and you still need a full cure in a full size lamp. There’s lots of affordable options here on Amazon if you’re on a budget.6. Please watch lots of videos on how to properly apply gel products and use all safety precautions like making sure to keep gel off the skin and remove it with alcohol immediately when it does to prevent gel allergies from forming. It is so important to at least have a basic knowledge on how to work with gel products (or acrylic or poly gel or anything you’re going to DIY) but the internet makes it easy to find how to properly and safely use these things at home. For this product specifically, I couldn’t find a video on YouTube about it but The Nail Hub channel’s video “How to apply base gel” goes into lots of detail, some of which I’ve covered here but I highly recommend watching it to understand how to use this and other base gels correctly. Now back to the performance of the Beetles PreBond base… I think this may be their version of LE’s Tack but a thicker consistency. Because it is formulated to be a primer and base in one, you can skip using a primer or use a very very light layer of primer before. I have done both and didn’t notice a big difference in adhesion when I used a primer before. If you use too much primer, that can cause lifting so keep that in mind if you double up the primer. This product is a soak off product, not a hard gel, which allows you to soak off in acetone as opposed to having to file it off, however… I’ve found because it is so strong, filing off is much faster and easier. I overfiled my nails trying to remove this so now what I do when I’m doing a new set is file to remove lifting, which there rarely is, and then file the surface of the gel to get off the color but leave a thin layer of this base to protect my nails. This is an incredible product that is affordable and easy to use. When used how it is meant to be, it gives a great base for color gel, full cover tip extensions or just an overlay. I highly recommend you give it a try if you were hesitant after reading the reviews. I’m so glad I gave it a try because it is my go-to base product now. Hope this is helpful and thanks for reading if you made it to the end of my long-winded review lol

Great adhesion
I use this as gel glue for my full cover gel nail tips. It works amazingly!! I saw the whole process on YouTube. It doesn't damage my nails either.

Retention has greatly improved!
My clients retention has greatly improved since I started using this product! My clients who had constant lifting, are now coming with very little to no lifting whatsoever! I still use Young Nails protein bond before I apply this, and that might be what is making overall difference.

Didn’t hold up long
When I used this with a few hours my nails popped off . I probably didn’t get all the oils off , but was disappointed when it didn’t work.
