Stonecraft - Wet/Dry Diamond Polishing Pads Universal 9 pcs Set 100mm M14 Thread Backing Pad & Sponge for Marble, Granite, Stone, Concrete

I was sceptical that I could remove a deep scratch from our granite worktop using this kit and my angle grinder. I was amazed how well the granite has polished up again.. Follow the included instructions. I would recommend this stone polishing kit to anyone with a reasonable amount of DIY skill. Great value for money and next time we scratch the granite I can polish the scratch out easily myself again :)

Stonecraft - a small but extremely great company. Results in photos with dry only finish trials. The 14mm thread on the backing pad is the one found on the majority of polisher/ grinders. A very wise thought. Previously bought another set before this only to find a useless 10mm thread. So well done Stonecraft.Product is Perfect even for a complete beginner like myself. Very good quality. Clearly marked grit level on the pads. VERY satisfied. I will revisit, review and repurchase these and other products they offer, highly recommended.

Ensure you are using at a maximum of 4000rpm, otherwise there is a risk of the disk flying off. This rules out many angle grinders.

Used a buffer machine with these Sanders.Once a little care is taken to centre these units on machine they work well.I got a very good result on marble.

These are really good diamond pads which work well dry (I haven't tried wet as it is too messy). I helped them of porcelain tiles.You must make sure you have a variable speed grinder as above about 4000rpm is wayb too fast.

I bought these to give my granite worktops a shine as they came with an antique finish which over the time of use we disliked. See before and after photos. They were easy to use and very good at doing what they are designed to do. Dispatched quick, great product will definitely use again.

Disks are velcro and therefore shift position in relation to the pad it's stuck to, on initial grinder start up, putting the balance way off causing major vibration issues. The disks them selves just stuck to the pad and used by hand are tip top. I mean really good at wearing basalt down. So it's disappointing they can't be used with the grinder tool. A better pad or way of attaching the disk to the pad would make this an brilliant piece of kit

Bought this kit to repair scratches on my granite kitchen countertop. The instructions are clear enough and I found the discs held firmly onto the machine plate unlike some of the other reviews. However, whilst I was able to cut out the scratches easily with the 400 & 800 pads (didn’t need the rougher pads as scratches were fairly light) I was unable to improve the milky finish of the granite to a reflective/polished finish using the 1500/3000/polishing pads. Despite several attempts (spent a few hours on this) using water as lubricant and keeping the machine to under 2500 speed I eventually gave up. Really disappointed with this as the product clearly claims to bring surface to a polished / reflective finish. Have been very careful to follow the instructions and also researched the correct method with other specialists and have used a variable speed machine. Have emailed the company direct and still await a response but will be returning if I don’t get a reply. Will give a further update if/when they send me a reply.

Worked great on porcelain/gres tiles 5 min job. Highly recommended
